Blood Type Real tackles the feelings we as men have, and having to mask them due to societal expectations of what a man is allowed to express emotionally publicly. Written by Strictly D.T, Johniepee and Jimmy Harwood, we dive into our own self reflection allowing the darkness to pass and build off of that knowing we will be ok.

Flower touches on the emotional maturity of a relationship and the struggles to grow it fruitfully. Trying to face ego, stubbornness or the unwillingness to accept defeat. Losing ones self in pursuit of a soul mate and how a break up can lead to acting like you never knew them. Joined by Alex Ford and Liona Tatafu, this song is one for the hearts and heartbroken.

FLOWER Feat. Alex Ford, Liona Tatafu

Growing up being proud of his upbringing regardless of the lower socioeconomic background, he came to a point where he can be proud of where he came from without baring the survival instincts that came with growing up there, knowing there is a better life for our Pacific islander families around the world to grow and become great no matter situations we were born into. Nomad and Jase Beathedz team up with D.T to represent where they’re from and what they overcame to get to where they’re at currently. 

D.T expresses his life living in Seattle Washington and Fremantle Western Australia during his verse not letting the listener know which was which, but gave an understanding of the similarities of each cities struggle. Nomad explains clearly what it’s like living in the Westside of Victoria explaining it’s the “hottest city on this side of the earth”. He did not hold back on this residency and his awareness of the corruption his local government has placed on his neighbourhood.

“This is the reason songs like this exist. We are not afraid to speak our truths and let the world know we understand what they are doing in these neighbourhoods.”

No matter WHERE U FROM, what you been through, we are in this together which is why there are shout outs listed at the end representing where everyone listening is from.

04 Mind Frame Ft. Chino XL

The journey of Ninja Turtle began when Europe-based film director Stavros Vlachogiannia invited me to participate in his Downunder Cyphers series. In my contribution, I touched on personal frustrations with the world that had been distracting me from rap and making music. After completing the cypher, I felt inspired to turn the piece into a full song and knew it needed Cruz Patterson’s energy. I turned to social media, asking people to tag him—and it worked!

Cruz and I collaborated, connecting on the idea of being “Ninja Turtles” in contrast to “rats.” It’s a layered metaphor: Ninja Turtles are the underground hustlers, the ones who make moves, while rats are stagnant and uninspired. At the same time, it nods to the cultural meaning of rats as snitches. The result is a track that’s as sharp as it is meaningful.
