The Rookie is back, bringing the fire with him thanks to another sensational Stamina two-tracker. Having debuted his no-nonsense, underground and pure sound with us back on release '54 (Rock & Roll / Rezerektion), the mysterious producer returns to ramp things up a few notches. Making beats since '98 under various names means that when it comes to the 'form, he's anything but a rookie, and Yin-side cut 'Soul Taker' attests this perfectly, laying down a masterclass in how to pack a knockout track - dripping with NRG, tech and trance influences - into one concise and powerful freeform offering. With it's big vocal hook and even bigger hands-up riff, this is one serious piece of dancefloor action. FINRG rogue Decion is making an impressive debut release with these high energy trance productions to launch his solo career.

These energy thriving psy/hard/uplifting trance hybrids contain nuances from most of Decion's favourite genres along the years making his debut EP one of the most interesting picks FINRG has to offer.

Decion has been releasing Hard NRG with his partner in crime Alchemiist for years now, but Infected Earth shows that the darker side of him as an artist has borne fruit over the years for a more melodic and deeper side when it comes to his solo productions.

A pioneer also of the vibrant Freeform movement, straddling BPM's and all kinds of sonic rave barriers in his lengthy career. Teaming up here with studio protege Dan Kelly on Cyclone One and Infatuation, we have a two-pronged attack on the modern day tech trance arena, with electric synths, crazy acid, flawless production and a multitude of influences across this whole rockin' EP.

From his early days organizing underground events for high school friends in the late 2000s, Decion has carved out a place at the heart of Finland’s rave culture. Known for his trance-infused Hard NRG sound, Decion’s music is a unique blend of psychedelic tones with melancholic, uplifting atmospheres. 

He is the current label manager of FINRG Recordings, and curates talent for the Kosmos Festival, bringing fresh energy to the Finnish electronic music scene while honoring the roots of rave.

He values authenticity, urging younger DJs to approach the craft with humility and encouraging new ravers to explore the rich history of electronic music instead of today’s templated sounds. 

For Decion, it’s about fostering a culture of integrity, keeping the rave scene alive, raw, and real.
