Seven Orbits

Seven orbits is an audiovisual performance designed for immersive sensory experiences.

It plays with the senses through vibration, light and sound to induce potential altered states with an emphasis on the transcendental and animistic connection with the natural world and the divine as can be found in past and present rituals around the world.

The softwares used to create the experience communicate with each other so that the sound, played live on DAW, drive the real-time graphics as well as physical live elements; Further control of the experience is also achieved by using external physical interfaces;

Axis Arkestra is a project founded by Artists Melika Ngombe Kolongo and Curtly Thomas in 2020. With an aim to shift the axis of perception; the growing Arkestra  directs a shift in social positioning and the development of hidden information materials. With the meeting of sonic and visual as primary renders Axis Arkestra  uses the tools of Improvisation and play to reveal alternative forms of knowledge production and communication lines with our Ancestral sources. 

This commission is part of 'PICO: Un parlante de África en América', an exhibition by Invernomuto & Jim C. DECISIONS celebrates 5 years of operation with 15 tracks of carefully orchestrated chaos by family, friends and new faces.

Corin Ileto [CORIN] is a Filipina-Australian producer, composer and performer working in the field of performance art, sound design, theatre and club spaces. In her compositions, traditional forms merge with hyper-digital sounds to create new imaginary realms. Drawing from a background in classical piano, her live performances encompass technical configurations executed with equal parts emotion and cold precision.
Her debut album ‘Manifest’ (Bedouin Records, 2019) was inspired by the synthetic sounds and theoretical notions found in modern iterations of the club, re-framed to fit within a hyper-real zone that encompasses late romantic opera and orchestral music.
She is a member of Club Ate, a Sydney based collective celebrating contemporary voices in the queer Asia-Pacific community.

CORIN's compilation contribution 'Stealth' is a lushly textured slice of broken EBM.

Consequences finds kindred spirits in artists unapologetically journeying their own spirals, resulting in a lively multitude of rhythm, sound design and song shapes defying genre and tempo. The compilation seeks to round off a difficult and disruptive year on a generative, community-oriented note.
