A man near death looks back on an unrequited love. He has no regrets, spent the last decades of his life on the road, never blaming her, never hating her, still deeply in love with her, never looking for another.

1 No Regrets (Just Weather)

The dying man, looking back on his life, remembers when his best friend was going through a rough divocre and he helped her out. She asked him to stay and just be present and he started to fall for the woman he had known for 30 years an never looked at that way.

2 The Day (She Asked Me To Stay)

A man realizes that he is falling in love with his best friedn fo 30 years before his heart accepts it.

3 I Loved You (Before It Had A Name)

A man confesses being in love with his best friend fo 30 years. She turns him down gently, but firmly. He realizes that she knew he had fallen in love with her.

You (Already) Knew

A man stays to continue to support his best friend through a tough divorce. She has broken his heart by turning him down when he confessed that something had changed and he was in love with her. But she still needs him and he supports her while his heart is ripped apart.

I Stayed (Anyway)

A man has taken off after being turned down by the only woman he has ever truly loved. He is trying to get over heartbreak, without getting over her or blaming her. He spends years on the road, but still remembers to send flowers to her every year on special days. They were best friends, and while things change, there is no animosity between them

A man, heartbroken by the rejection of the only woman he will ever love, sets out on the road and starts to hook up with multiple women. A new town, a new woman. It doesn't last long. He realizes this is not who he is and his love for the woman who said no is the only love he will ever know and can't be replace. Realizes this is self destructive behavior and stops.

Borrowed (Company)

The man goes through the rest of his life with some hard months, some better months. This examines the coping he does during the hard months.

Some Months (Were Easier)

The man, knowing he is dying, looking back is proud that he kept his word to her. He left, lived out his life on the road, he promised her that he'd be ok. And he believes he is. He never wanted to get over her, but couldn't stand to watch her fall in love with someone, so he left to protect both of them. He never stopped loving her.

I Kept (My Word)

Sensing his life is at an end, the man decides to sleepp under the skies in his favorite place, the Sonoran desert. He dies peacefully after a life dedicated to true love and the woman who he could never get over. The drums are his heartbeat, when they stop, he is gone.

Sonoran Skies

This is from the woman's perspective. She learns about his death 7 months after the fact. Realizes that he was true to his deep love for her. She has lived a good life. Doesn't regret living a good life, but still feels anguish and heartbreak for him. She hoped that he had found someone deserving of his love, but realizes that to him, it was only her.

Seven Months Later

Man spends his life on the road and the small towns eremind him of better days with those he loved.
