This mash up was inspired by a trip to Ibiza where I was hearing the Eric Prydz track Pjanoo everywhere.  I took a well known traditional Irish dance tune called Jenny's Chickens and combined it with the vibe and chord structure of the Pjanoo track.

This is a track I made during the Covid-19 lockdown in Dublin. Im playing Irish flute and tin whistles on the track and produced it using logic. The main melody of the track is taken from an old Irish song called May Morning Dew.

I'm from Dublin Ireland and play the tin whistle and Irish flute. Portable and low tech these instruments reflect an amazing musical tradition in Ireland. They also produce one of the most primal musical sounds and are a surviving link to centuries of world music. Human breath through wood and tin. 
During the Covid-19 lockdown I have been experimenting with combining the sound of tin whistles and flutes with electronic music. I hope you enjoy.
