Label boss Christian Smith brings the pain with this twofold attack, showing yet another facet of the evolution of his sound. 
 The spacious stabs get things going on &#8220;Delivery&#8221;, in combination with a persistent bassline and spoken-word samples reiterating the title. However, it&#8217;s the frantic snares that creep up on us which steal the show and kick things up a notch or ten. 
 On &#8220;Matrix&#8221;, Mr. Smith (no pun intended) takes a more mystical turn, again filled with percussive elements, but letting enough room for hi-register chords to take control until the end of the affair. Chords that almost create a nostalgic vibe, without, however, sacrificing any of the drive.

Eric Sneo&#8217;s hit &#8220;Metanoia&#8221; gets updated and first up is a beefed-up version with an assortment of effects and tasty synth action injected into it. Pig &amp; Dan have taken over for the remix, and opt for a completely different approach, employing intricate percussion and crackling highs into their shuffling groove. Focusing on the main theme, the boys bring out their loopy sensibilities and let the melody shine, courtesy of their sparse arrangement and subliminal bassline.

Many Reasons are back on Amazing Records with the first of a series of exclusive EPs on the label: going deep into Techno mode, the guys here deliver two fine examples of contemporary underground music, keeping up with their more experimental and harder side. Title track Cloudy kicks off with an atmospheric intro and flows heavy on low frequencies. Its obsessively acidic and brooding synth line veers into subliminal territory thanks to its upwards spiraling and frequency shiftings crawling through the whole composition. Second cut Utopia is a long journey into a dark tunnel, with quirky percussion patterns and spooky samples that welcome an unrelenting and tough melody during the break, spanning the entire stereo panorama and slinking all over the place.

Blue City Dub and Vinz Exe team up for this furious package and the title track is up first with mangled vocals reiterating the actual title and a sparse arrangement depending heavily on the juicy sub bass. The Responder remix introduces the addition of tense atmospherics which create a futuristic vibe that is reinforced by the rumbling low-end. On the synth-led &#8220;Forest Shades&#8221;, mighty stabs and an evolving, eerie riff take center stage before Responder takes over once again to completely flip things around with a dubbed-out approach, complete with distressed electronics and shadowy effects.

German mainstay Kölsch has had a thunderous few years , fully establishing himself as a worldwide force to be reckoned with. His piano-drenched techno has been slaying sound-systems the world over and even after two incredible albums via Kompakt, we reckon the best is still yet to come. 

His remix of 'Trouble At The Séance' is deep, dark and full of lazer-beam synths that zip in-and-out of focus. Not much can be said about this one other than it's an absolute stormer and it's going to do some serious damage this summer.

Berlin based DJ and producer Monika Kruse joins forces with fellow techno innovators Pig&Dan to the deliver the ‘Get Me On’ EP, featuring the resounding and edgy title track.

Both veterans in the industry, Kruse and Pig&Dan have previously collaborated on quality material in the past, releasing the ‘Oblivion’ EP last year which included the standout gem ‘Satisfaction’. That tune landed on Mixmag’s top techno tracks of 2016, and the trio plan to make a bold statement with their latest collaboration.

‘Get Me On’ delivers the driving techno essence that’s ruling over dancefloors as of late, with booming bass, fluttering, melodic synth tones and chopped vocals. Kruse shared how the collaboration was a pleasure once again: “I’m always happy to spend time with my brothers in the studio because we have so much fun and it just flows. For me this is one of my most emotional production works over the past few years. Combining soul vocals with melodic techno is a pure expression of who I am as an artist.”

With a busy summer on the horizon, Kruse also announced she plans to showcase her first ever Monika Kruse & Friends party during Off Week in Barcelona on June 15.
