Flesh Narc, from the fertile scene No Wave scene in Denton, Texas, have evolved from an avant-punk band into what they've described as "extreme electronic rock." Arab on Radar guitars blended with erratic drum machine outbursts and sizzling synth sounds to create a sound that might appeal to fans of Daughters or Psychic Graveyard - if they're willing to take another couple steps off that short pier. Like "Twin Infinitives" jacked up to 78 RPM and cranked up to 11, this is the new album: "Understanding Reality" released on Decoherence, Oct. 4, 2019.

Flesh Narc "Rabies Fable"

The No Wave scene on Denton, TX seems to spit out fantastic noise-rock masterpieces at a frightening pace, and somehow each more amazing than the last. This song comes from the album "Raisins" by Bukkake Moms (featuring members of Flesh Narc, Gay Cum Daddies, Couchweed, etc) and recorded shortly before the band called it quits. But this album was too great to leave on the shelf and Decoherence decided to release it alongside the new one from Flesh Narc (very much still active and on tour NOW). A serious epic that sees the band stretching out into long-form songs, with the kind of infectious energy and limitless creativity not seen since Trumans Water's "Spasm Smash."

Bukkake Moms "Tunnel"

From the second album by SHIMMER, one of the most exciting bands playing in Brooklyn right now, and something of a super-group. With 2 members of Palberta, Simon Hanes of Tredici Bacci and ex- of Guerilla Toss, and Paco Cathcart aka The Cradle, one might expect SHIMMER's sound to be a bit of a hodge podge, but the opposite is actually true. SHIMMER has a laser-focused sound and vision, frantic and noisy, but equally precise and complex.
