Grid turns one ! To celebrate our first anniversary, we are happy to release our second compilation with twelve amazing artists from around the world (USA, Japan, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland and England, of course).

Still focused on eclectism, each track is part of a colorful selection ready for a party summer. From experimental opening by K Wata, through bass bangers from Sputnik One, Mafou and Yilan, deep objects by Kincaid, Mistareez and Tristan Arp, engineering techno from Erik Luebs, Christian Kroupa and Fingers of God, to crazy shifted tracks by Nico and Henzo.

As its musical title evocates, after a heavy loaded first year, we are starting a new loop coming back with a compilation, to go further next.

Miss Kotton's contribution to the V/A is formed by acidic layers of amen breaks, constantly mutating with intrinsic melodies and rainforest sound effects. 100 MPH throughout on this one.

A message from the label;
'While this release is focussed on helping the people of Gaza, the plague of oppression and violence is not bound by geographies and runs deep within systems of imperialist, colonial and fascistic violence. We stand against such structures of power - whether in Gaza or closer home.

While this release is sadly curative, it is also optimistically preventive. Music heals and if we can help in healing even a part of the collective suffering of humanity then we shall strive to do so at any given level. In the light of the recent developments wherein increasing number of countries have stopped funding the UNRWA and their relief efforts towards Palestinians in Gaza, we would be donating all proceeds collected via this release to the @unrwa

Our expression of healing is through music and sound. We would like to extended our thanks to all the artists for their valuable contribution towards this healing. May this release bring a little peace to the world'.

Bass heavy, booty bouncing, hard pushing sounds that focus on keeping dancers sweating and smiling is Ubax’s goal when she plays. Born and raised in London, Ubax grew up surrounded by
the sounds of Jungle, Drum and Bass, UK garage, and Grime. But it wasn’t until she moved to Berlin that a mixture of nostalgia and longing to hear more bass music motivated her to get behind the decks.

A graduate from the fourth round of the Femme Bass Mafia mentorship programme. Ubax is inspired by the sounds of South Africa, Brazil, Jersey and of course the UK. These diverse sonic
influences manifest in her sets which build a bridge between old skool tunes and new sounds.
