The roots of Deconstructing Sequence go back to the band Northwail which played a form of black/death metal with strong progressive influences. After two studio albums (“Enigma” in 2008 and “Cold Season” in 2011) the band split-up due to artistic differences. 
Band members Tiberius and Morph who wanted to explore further progressive and avant-garde regions of extreme music formed Deconstructing Sequence, which is an expansion of the idea going beyond borders of metal. 
DS was joined by J. Nerexo from avant-garde black metal group Shadows Land, who as a drummer fitted perfectly the band’s new, more aggressive, twisted and progressive style. The result of this collaboration was "Year One” EP , mixed and mastered in April 2013 by Arek "Aro" Jablonski at Monroe Sound Studio, which was the cornerstone of a whole new level of artistic freedom.  
August 2014 brings a new release – “Access Code” EP along with a video created by Costin Chioreanu of Twilight13Media, who has previously worked with artists like Mayhem, Deicide, Ava Inferi, Ihsahn, Ulver and Summoning.
In 2017 Deconstructing Sequence launch a 55min LP entitiled "Cosmic Progression: An Agonizing Journey Through Oddities of Space" that is a summary of the idea given on the two earlier EP's.
This LP was released by Via Nocturrna records and with the help of Erwin from Lifeless Chasm Records and Curtis Dewar from Dewar PR has had numerous great reviews from all around the world and kept spreading the music to the masses.
In 2018 the band was joined by drummer Dark Soul, who became a great asset to the whole project and started preparations for the 2nd Deconstructing Sequence album.
Tiberius continued to work on the new LP and with Morph stepping back he prepared the whole music concept. 
The concept concentrated on black metal with atheistic, cosmic themes.
In October 2022 Tiberius recorded guitars and bass tracks with supervision of Arkadiusz "Aro" Jabłoński at Monroe Sound Studio. In February 2023  Dark Soul recorded drums for the new album in the same studio. Vocal sessions took place between April and June 2023 at Monroe Sound Studio.
Tiberius was joined by guest appearance by Mazak from Blind Salvation who also wrote lyrics for the album and Adrian from the band Crepusculum. 
In April 2023 bassist Immortal joined the band and became a full time member.
In November 2024 Uruk joined the band and filled the second guitar possition which gives as possibilities to play shows as the line-up is complete.
Mix and Mastering of the 2nd LP  took place between November 2023 and June 2025 also at Monroe Sound Studio with full support of Arkadiusz "Aro" Jabłoński.
Deconstructing Sequence is set to release their 2nd LP entitled TENEBRIS COSMICIS TEMPORA November 7th 2025 through Black Lion Records
