After a brief creative break from the dance music scene, The Freestylers return with an almighty bang to present the scorching PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE E.P. A three track package of serious dancefloor bangers to whet the appetite for their forthcoming fifth album, due to hit in the summer.

'Cracks' is taken from the boy's new album 'Calling Me Home' and sounds like Joey Beltram with a future twist before it breaks down into a tripped out vocal. It's techno/house/breakbeat/folk that should have house heads, breaks kids and hipsters all getting down....listen without prejudice.

Acting as the boy's nod to their hometown, 'This City' follows, featuring the vocal prowess of MC Tali. Bass heavy breaks that comfortably straddles dubstep and rave with a naggingly familiar riff.

'Bounce To This', featuring Miami based new kid on the block MC Alaska, is the Freestylers we know and love. Old skool bleeps and reggae mashed up with booty shaking electro.

This week in The Armory, we’re excited to welcome label boss at DogEatDogRecords, DJ Si-Dog (aka Rob Silas), to the 1s and 2s. Press play. Get down. 

Rob Silas "DJ Si-Dog" Moved to Orlando from CT in 1993 after college, where he was quickly was introduced to the Florida EDM Rave scene. Rob moved to Florida to find a band as a Drummer by trade, but was quickly consumed into the Orlando EDM club scene and decided to start DJing and producing EDM in 1994. Signed to the Indie Label Phattraxx in 1997, He released tracks under that label until he made his own label DogEatDog Records that specialize in Breakbeat EDM production & event production as well.www.facebook.com/DogEatDogRecords.

Si-Dog Dee-Jayed at Huge parties over the years like Zen 98’, and Usuaya in Gainesville & Jacksonville in the 90’s, along with numerous night clubs around Florida. Simons, Firestone, and The Beacham until 2000 to name a few.. In 2000 a new Hartford CT after-hours club called him to be the head DJ and international talent promoter from 2000 to 2004. Si-Dog had his own radio show webcast Stim-U-Late, (fathered by the Trance Domain) and then starting playing gigs in the Northeast From Philly to New Hampshire.www.facebook.com.SiDogOfficial. Rob got married in 2006 and started a family. Now travels back and forth to Florida 10 times a year.. Recharged in back in the Florida Scene, Si-Dog has been producing tracks again on DEDR, he has many charted tracks on Beatport's Top 100 with include remixes for Deekline (that won a World Wide remix competition), and Si-Dog has also collaborated with Top 10 Producer Agent K, as well as his own monthly tracks on Beatport.

Rob’s other passion is event production, DEDR threw a huge event at Firestone in December 2012 called the Leaders of the True School, Rob Silas was a presenter of the show, who showcased Colombo in is 1st ever Florida appearance from Spain. and is also back throwing parties at WMC which he’s always done in the past. He has partnered up with Glyn Morgan of FSOB and is involved with Dr P Booking, Old Skool Reunion and LOTS 2 to close out 2013. In 2014 DEDR celebrated 15 years with a huge event in South Beach Miami Rooftop pool with the biggest names in the Breaks Industry in the bill AND in attendance!. DEDR will also produce The Reunion 2014 in Orlando, and LOTS-3 in Orlando as well.
Rob’s still loves his old skool fan base as well, his soundcloud page will have all his work from over the years and current remixes as well, ALL and ALWAYS for FREE DOWNLOAD on @Si-Dog.. XS, aka Jay Fatigate has been a staple in the Electronic Dance Music scene since 1987.  Starting off in New York with Freestyle, Miami Bass, House, Hip Hop, and RnB.  In 1991 he assisted a DJ in New York’s Palladium Night Club when he received his first techno record by artist L.A. Style, which wrote James Brown is Dead.  In 1992 he moved to Daytona Beach, FL where he entered the “Florida Rave Scene.” He began to DJ for the Mad House @ Zonkers.  As his talent spread on scene flyers and by word of mouth,  he began to spin and work many bookings in Orlando, Gainesville, Tampa, Tallahassee,  Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, at all major venues.  In 1997 he was signed to “Go Off Productions” and played for major promotional companies such as Culture Productions, and FSOB. He retired for 20 years to raise a family in South Florida. As the pandemic hit, he began to create again.  “I have Returned”  was his comeback compilation, streaming now on SoundCloud. Currently he’s been booked by promoters such as FSOB, Sunshine State of Bass, 808 Life, Frajile Recordings, Theoryon, Culture, and  more.  His unique style of mixing will send you on a journey that you will definitely want more of!
