James Brown is the innovator, the creator, the originator!  He's the godfather of soul!!

“Just let the groove
Down in your soul
Keep it coming
Never grow old”

When I was a kid I wasn’t really into him (who can blame a kid :) right?) but like many younger listeners I discover him and his mighty music as I later was more seriously digging deeper into funk and going through his rich discography. His gospel scream-singing over his complex rhythms and his consistency on re-inventing funk is unparalleled.

“Tell ’em what you gonna do 
Hustle, Pump it!”

Clearly he must be the most influential artist in black music or in music generally speaking, especially when you realize the countless times his beats have been sampled in modern R&B and hip-hop! 
“Don’t Stop The Funk” -taken from his “People” LP, released in 1980-, though not one of his big hits, sums it up perfectly:

“Just let the blues
Take the control
Let it run, let it roll
Funk’s never ever let you grow old”

On this mix I give u longer rhythmic intro and outro, work on his vocals and put in numerous sound details, guitar riffs and screams from various of his tracks.
