I play Pop, Jazz, Blues, and Country. I've been playing all my life. Growing up in Texas and North Carolina exposed me to the musical roots of this country. I've studied classical and jazz, and also advanced techniques like stride piano. Although I can read music, I generally pick up the songs I play by ear. My teachers have studied and played with the likes of Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Lennie Tristano, and Aretha Franklin. My favorite musicians include Art Tatum, Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson.
