The Sob Story project marries the oppressive melancholia of Vilhelm's body-music sleaze with Oliver's dystopian, steely EBM forming a crystalline palette of cold electronics, lacquered drums and gleaming synths.

Premiere: Sob Story - Doghouse (ANFS Remix) [K024]

MM PREMIERES are meant to transcend the ordinary and immerse themselves in the sacred realm of music, beholding the unseen and embracing the new melodic tapestry even before it unveils itself to the world.

Johannes Stabel, known as XTR HUMAN, arises from Berlin's fiery underground, his presence commanding attention in the gothic nightlife. Armed with a leather-clad hammer, he delivers high-energy performances and resonant vocals evocative of '80s legends. His latest track, "I WANT MORE," stands as a nihilistic anthem, exploring the unrelenting desire for consumption and urging listeners to embrace this pursuit to the very end. 

To complement this track, top industrial EBM producers like Soy Story, Abby Knives, NOTAUSGANG, and Unhealed have crafted captivating remixes on the EP, amplifying the hunger for MORE and offering a diverse auditory experience for fans of the genre. In the dim glow of burnt strobes and the gritty ambiance of Berlin's venues, Stabel's music finds its stronghold, fusing strength and style, channeling the essence of Schwarzenegger in a modernised soundscape that captivates audiences.

Vilhelm, a familiar face within London's clandestine corners, he has respectively cut his teeth playing at many an institutional party over the past decade. Vilhelms output is infused with an essence of body-music sleaze and a focus on groove, grit, and melancholic euphoria. He is also one half of the project Sob Story, a collaborative project between Vilhelm and Oliver, who in 2023 released their debut EP Doghouse on Khemia, the label run by Lee Adams/Choronzon, founder of Kaos.
This mix consists of odd cuts, old favourites, hidden gems, and some all time classics. Mostly new beat with some other adjacent tracks.

Returning to Wie Ein Gott, Argentinian producer and live act AXGGAA unveils his debut five-track dystopian sci-fi installment.

Still reeling from our last Tech Couture of 2024, we bring you a little treat… the live recording from Sob Story’s set with us back in September at FOLD! 

Known for their eye-wateringly euphoric sets that leave all in varying states of hysteria, Sob Story is the main collaborative project of London-based producer and DJ duo @olivergibson_ and @vile_hell.

Familiar faces within London's clandestine corners, the two have cut their teeth at many an institutional party over the past decade. In 2024 their edit of Samantha Fox's seminal classic "Touch Me" was released on Jennifer Cardini's label Correspondant, and they also make up two-thirds of the team behind the new event series "meanwhile…".

This mix is an absolute belter and sure to wash away the wintery blues and turn up the heat. We are certainly feeling nostalgic…what a beauty of a party! ❤️ xxx
