DJ’ing was a passion which he lived with, was part of it day and night. 
Séance 1997 Dex – T started off as a bedroom DJ and eventually progressed in to the mobile scene under ‘BEATS INTERNATIONAL’ Event company.. Dex - T's best feature will always be his mixing “style”, a true show that awarded him his immense popularity. In 2006 Dex - T took place in Sri Lanka's first all-island DENON DJ competition organized by D&M Electronics, Singapore together with Cool Jays…
He was awarded as the 2nd runner- up at the DENON DJ competition held on 25 November 2006 at the Hotel Taj Samudra 

Dex – T With the sound knowledge of electronic music, he has his hands in almost all the genres of music. From House to Tribal, Progressive to trance, psy trance to minimal, breaks to drum n bass, hip hop to reggae, commercials to world music, and one can definitely say that he has the perfect combination of taste and sense for the music. While Mixing and Blending the music he comes out with the real superb experience for the party animals
He is also one of the "usual suspects" blend-in for the great dance events, festivals, club gigs. He Started his career as a Club DJ at ‘ARIA 51 NIGHT CLUB’ He was the resident dj at

Also he has perform in Colombo’s leading club’s such as NUOVO,ZOUK,ZETTER’S,BLACK OUT(Kandy),PRIVE…..etc. It is also said that he is one of the Djs that makes his public love electronic music, go clubbing and appreciate a quality show.Wile spinning at some of the top clubs in the country Dex – T performs in 'MALDIVE ISLAND RESORTS' for the December season..

Generally, it is very difficult to find the balance between being a great DJ and a talented producer, but when this balance comes through, you can call yourself a complete artist.
