 DeeJay Random first learnt to scratch at the age of 14 and has been a hip-hop/scratch DJ, professionally, since 1986. His style is un-orthodox, to say the least, and is usually pretty aggressive. He loves to cut breaks and trash funk records, fuck around with strange drum breaks, battle geeks and smash to pieces anyone stupid enough to try and fuck him over. His un-orthodoxness will carnagerize any wishy washy bullshit you may think you have invented.

As well as being an accomplished turntablist and scratch DJ, He also plays turntables for the band Don Piranha (Jazz Cafe, Guilfest, Mass, Ambient picnic etc), a crashing energetic foray into funk that will melt the hearts of the most un-rhythmic fuckers around. He has played in several European countries including Sweden, Germany, Holland and Denmark and have played pretty much the cream of the UKs top venues including The Tate modern, The Jazz cafe (Camden), Subterrania, Scala, The Empire ballroom, Turnmills, The Brain club, Fabric, Bracknell football club, the Cellar bar, liscombe house, The William Twigg etc.
As well as playing some of the most prestigious venues in the country, He has supported and played alongside with some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop including Jazzy Jeff, The Jungle Brothers, Supernatural and DJ Noise, DJ Pogo, DJ Biznizz, Cutmaster Swift (The Enforcers), TY, Diversion Tactics, DJ Jazz T, DJ Woody, Prime cuts, Tony vegas, Plus one (The Scratch perverts), Rodney P, The Mixologists, DJ Jazzy Jay, Grand wizzard Theodore, The Original Jazzy Jay DJ, Lootpack, P-Trix, Vinroc, DJ Vadim, Diversion Tactics, J-Zone, Huggy Bear, Al shid, Skinnyman as well as a fuckload more.
He is also one of the resident DJs for "King Of The Beats, alongside DJ Devastate (Demon Boys) and Sparkii Ski (London Posse and M.C. Mello) at the Vibe Bar in Brick lane.
As well as DJing, poncing around in nightclubs and drinking too much, He also does a touch of teaching. Mainly straight DJing but he has also coached several of the current crop of uk turntablists/Scratch DJs with their routines, potential battle sets and general competition mentality.
He has worked at the Academy of contemporary music (Vestax DJ academy, Guildford) as a masterclass lecturer and has worked alongside many council and charity run organisations such as Reading county council, Bracknell council, Lookahead housing, Surrey county council, Urban development, Middlesex county council etc.
