Happy New Year. Nothing has been resolved.

This mix is Node and Gated’s end-of-year sweep of 2025: not a “best of”, not a chart, not legally binding in any way. It’s a collection of tracks that made a dent or subtly shifted the ground while everyone was distracted. Expect a broad and occasionally unhelpful range of tempos, textures and moods, assembled with minimal concern for algorithmic wellbeing.

All the Gated releases from the year are folded in among a lot of other vital music from artists we admire, argue about, and keep coming back to. The idea is less about highlights and more about what happens when these tracks are left alone together in a room.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in, put records out, showed up, or otherwise survived 2025. We’re already lining things up behind the scenes, and at Gated we’re very much looking ahead to more releases, podcasts, noise and low-level disruption throughout 2026.
