So happy to welcome M.F.S. Observatory to the Undermind podcast for our 52nd episode.

M.F.S. Observatory aka Mattia Turchetti is a name you might be familiar with due to the prolific output in recent years on a host of integral labels such as Second State, Techno Rebels Only, My Techno Weighs A Ton, Hydrozoa, and Dense & Pika’s enormous, Kneaded Pains, a label of which Mattia will return to in the months to come. 

Whilst pouring out an established and polished sound on these heavy hitting imprints Mattia continues to grow the Observatory Music label, varying between productions from himself and fellow producers he follows closely. Moving forward Mattia has turned a new corner in his career, after years of development honing his essential and original sound he explores new territory, leaning towards the darker techno end of the spectrum, maintaining the same animated energy he is already known for. His prominent atmospheres are carefully crafted in the studio, and this reflects into his storytelling DJ sets which flicker between different moods that the talented Italian has collected over the years in his home country and his current home of, London. The natural knack in the booth has seen Mattia take his sound to several hotspots including Sisyphos (Berlin) Barcelona, Helsinki, London, Gottingen and Italy.

A prime example of raw technique combined with passion is what we have here, a never ending story of evolution with his sound constantly changing, finding new leases of life, and pockets of creativity from different aspects of his path so far. M.F.S. Observatory may be receiving a curious and gritty new chapter of his journey, but the key elements and beliefs stay the same, and long may that continue.

Born in Paris, it’s not by accident if Moon’s tech house and progressive music has become popular. When he was young, his night club experience gives him a way to find his style and good in playing with famous DJ’s as Anthony Pappa, Gabriel & Dresden, Tom Parris or Jimmy Van M without forget the popular Freddy and G-rom Parisians Dj’s. 
Its in 1999 that Moon started to be a good DJ for the party named “the end”. After this experience, he plays in the famous Parisian night club as La Scene, La Loco, Le Metropolis, Les Folie's , Le Manray or le VIP Room Paris… And become the main DJ of the Panam night club for the party “be friends” and the “Vinyl” for the “progress party”.
In 2008 and 2009, he is the official DJ at the “Bains-Douches" Paris, for the party Deliver Me and Global Underground where he invites Trafik, Jim Rivers, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo and Andy Moor…
In 2011, he plays as the official DJ for the parties Magic at the Palace and recognized as the talented DJ, since 2012 he plays for the parties Belle Epoque! at Maxim's with the guests Sascha Braemer, Niconé, Edouard! and more, in 2016 he becomes resident for Overground at Rex Club with talented Dj's Patrice Baumel, Oliver Koletzki, ARTBAT or Mathame...
He has played in Ibiza, Geneva, Doha or Tunis where his music is recognized as the real good sounds.
