A few weeks ago an Australian DJ send me a message on Instagram. He liked my Heroine remix and created his own edit adding devastating kicks and a mind-blowing second climax. I made this bootleg for the Reverze Flashback 2022 but wasn't satisfied with the result so I kept working on the track. I tried everything but it just didn't work. I wanted to throw it away but then I dreamed about Reinier Zonneveld. He told me to add a TECHNO kick. So I did.... et voila. Much better. Thx Reinier #karrenmaar

You probably heard this version in the Flashback from 2023 and since then a lot of people were asking about it: so here it is!

My eight time on stage representing the Reverze Flashback! Wow, time flies! What an honor! Playing in the Sportpaleis for a full house is truly something special. The amazing view, 20.000 people and the flashing lights. Sometimes you just hold your breath and be amazed by the scenery.

For this year I worked my ass off in the studio creating lot's of new edits, bootlegs & mash ups. Oldschool stuff but with the Pat B flavour. I gave it all and had the time of my life making and playing it. I hope you do to when you're listening to my liveset!

Pat B - Oude liefde roest niet (Oldschool mix)

I'm not a very good producer so that's why I just try to make fun in the studio. It's not going to bring me any awards but it does result in cool stuff from time to time. 

For this track I wanted to make something hardcore!
But no 2019 style..... Oldschool....early rave, that's what I wanted!

I told myself I could only use original gabber samples. So all the bassdrums, percussion and synths are vintage hardcore sounds. 909 claps, infamous sounds and Neophyte Bassdrums. 

I really wanted to go back to basics. So I almost didn't use any effects and present day studio magic. I wanted to make this track just like it was created in a hardcore studio back in 1997. It was hard to keep things simple but I really wanted to stay true to the concept. 

For the release I wanted a typical 90's cover! I designed it myself including the Pat B smiley who turned into a gabber cyborg or something like that lol.
