Happy August everyone!

With lots of sunshine and bass in our part of the world these days we thought there was no better time to release our first audiovisual mixtape of 2022. 

This tape comes from one of our own 'Shigero' and is an unapologetic tribute to our roots. Shigero is a well-known producer, DJ & sound tech in our community and is both a core / founding member of HiFive Soundsystem and Conscious Wave. With almost a decade of DJ'ing under his belt, playing at all of the big eastern events and festivals, Éric has also proven his skill as a producer with releases on Sub Audio Records, Sub World Audio, Home Bass and Dirty Cake. 

With an active 2022 year as well, Shigero brought his live event concept to life via AUTHENTICS 002 back in April in Montréal. He also performed solo at Groove & Bass Festival in Québec, played b2b with @aphotikcw at Future Forest Music & Arts Experience in New Brunswick and will be playing solo at Good Vibes Festival in Quebec at the end of the summer.

His resident feature for Conscious Wave is a 43 minute dubstep mix that stays strictly 140bpm. It features some original sounds, unreleased dubs and more than a couple familiar faces. It builds gradually & patiently, taking us on an introspective journey with some classic, meditative vibes.
