Thanks to Wessel / @Goodthingman for pulling this album out of the bins at Rush Hour this weekend.  

The original had 2 vocal parts in it that killed the mood and didn't fit with the rest of the vocals, synths & trumpets so rearranged it a bit. Would love to hear some tips on audio editting software (for Mac) that's a bit easier to work with that Audacity because this was a serious hassle to make sure everything lined up nicely - leave a comment below if you know please 3

We reminisced about the opening at The Shore while listening to the recording of DJ Tracksuit's set. This is the kick-off of the new series 'Reminiche', where we share recorded sets of artists at the stages and parties we hosted. Big fat shoutout to the team of Blue Sigma for setting up a stage where not a single needle skipped during the night, which is a rare experience for parties at the beach! Thank you to The Shore for hosting all of us and Fishtapes for allowing us to host one of the stages.

First time playing b2b with Evie and we had a lot of fun . Lots of synthesised sounds, 80s & grooves that were collecting dust in my record collection. Happy we went this way because it’s something I hadn’t done before for Locomotion.

Recording of my 2hr vinyl only "warmup" sunset set for the Zodiac stage at Space Safari 2024. Amazing time playing on the small "chill out" stage that turned into a proper dance towards the end of the night. 

Sadly the recording from my 2hr b2b with Sofa is lost because the recorder lost power and didnt save it :-((((

It's not often in a b2b that the other DJ pulls me deeper, usually it's the other way around, but last week it happened. Niko's selection is deeper than deep, spanning records from Neroli's catalog all the way back to 2008, to Glenn Underground productions you've never heard before that hit the inside of your spine. 

It was mad inspiring, and I feel like I graduated another year in DJ school. Thank you for the education in Deep House, I did not know I needed it :-)

DJ Tracksuit, began his journey on the dancefloor, a space where he sought connection, freedom, and growth which evolved to become his second home. What started as a dancer’s love for music grew into a boundless exploration, wandering through the realms of soulful sounds, unconfined by genre, yet deeply rooted in the culture and social fabric that shape it.

For nearly a decade, he has been shaping a distinct style and curating a wide collection that captures the eclectic essence of today’s dancefloors, with a focus on House, Deep House, Disco, African percussions, Afro-Caribbean grooves, Dub, Reggae & Jazz. As a DJ and promoter, he came to realize that preserving the message within the music requires more than just playing the songs. It demands embodying its essence in character and aligning with the means and processes that shape its journey from the soundsystem to the ears of the dancers.

In this vinyl only mix, recorded live at Doka, Amsterdam’s best sounding club, he goes deep into his extensive collection of Joe Claussell records. The result is a 2hr journey of deep club cuts, paying tribute to one of the greatest to ever do it.

Coloring Lessons Mix Series 070: DJ Tracksuit

Opened up the small room (which was still quite big) for Cartel Kingsday. Started with zero people on the floor, steadily worked our way out of the depths into the higher atmospheres. 

This is a CDJ set. I had fun. Cycling to a gig in the sun is nice. Mixing tracks for 1-2min is fun as well and not really possible without looping. Maybe I’ll play more CDJ sets in the future?? who knows🔊
