Rooted in the vibrant cultural mosaic of San Francisco, Spencer Brown has emerged as a bright beacon within progressive house and techno. While navigating his academic path at Duke University, Spencer’s musical talents caught the ears of artists like Avicii and Above & Beyond, catapulting him onto a trajectory that would see his albums, Illusion of Perfection (2018) and Stream of Consciousness (2020), soar to the apex of the progressive house charts.

In 2022, Spencer added his own label, diviine, alongside prestigious imprints like Bedrock, Anjunadeep, and Global Underground to his eclectic release portfolio. Spencer’s intuitive connection with the dance floor is evident through his kinetic, ever-evolving DJ sets, which infused with a resonant message of love and positivity.

On this Balance Selections mix, the American showcase his emotional versatility to guide listeners  through a spectrum of moods and textures. Featuring tracks and collaborations from Henry Saiz, John Digweed, Max Graham and more, this is the work of master craftsman.

Madloch's 3rd Avenue is excited to present Paradigm, a powerful new collaborative EP from Spanish producer Damusque (aka David Museen) and UK talent Erik Christiansen, featuring the title track and Sometimes in F.

Debuting his Damusque alias, Spanish artist David Museen brings years of industry experience to this project. Hailing from Vitoria-Gasteiz, he has established himself as one of Spain's most versatile electronic artists, with releases on Toolroom, Kittball, and CR2 Records supported by icons like Hernan Cattaneo and Marco Carola. His founder role at TrueStoryComic Label reflects his dedication to pushing musical boundaries across melodic techno, Afro house and progressive styles.

Teaming up with UK producer Erik Christiansen (UV, Freegrant, CR2), the duo crafts a masterful blend of their signature sounds. Christiansen's UK-flavored house sensibilities perfectly complement Damusque's Spanish-influenced rhythms, resulting in two tracks that showcase their combined technical prowess and creative vision.

Argentinian duo South City return to Magnitude Recordings with a powerful double A-side release featuring 'Bantu' and 'Lorax'. The pair build on the momentum of their earlier label debut 'Viper / Geko' and their recent remix for Sinan Arsan, delivering two deep, driving cuts packed with tension and groove.

Label head Francesco Pico, an avid supporter, proudly welcomes them as new resident artists on Magnitude, marking this release as another exciting chapter in their journey.

Dee Montero is a lifer. He’s the former Mambo Ibiza resident who at the end of 2017 received Pete Tong’s Essential Tune Of The Year on BBC Radio One for the string-fuelled, epic end-of-nighter ‘Halcyon’, originally released on Solomun’s acclaimed Diynamic imprint. And he’s been busy ever since with various eps including ‘Pangaea’ on Knee Deep In Sound, ‘Shadows’ on All Day I Dream and also the scintillating ‘In The Wild’ and ‘Headspace’ featuring Meliha on Anjunadeep.

From Asia to America and everywhere in between it’s all been about the music for Dee. Performances in Australia, India and Dubai have been interspersed with US tours and appearances at Burning Man on the Robot Heart and Carl Cox Playground stages as well as summer shows in Ibiza including Hï with Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli.

In 2020 Dee launched his own imprint Futurescope bringing in fellow musical alchemists Patrice Baumel, Fort Romeau and Lauer for remix duties. He unleashed his diverse 12 track artist album ‘Artifacts’ to the world in 2022 playing to those deft melodic touches, twinkling synths and positive peaks. ‘Maya’, the standout track from the LP and a homage to Future Sound Of London’s ‘Papua New Guinea’ got a special rework from mastermind Rodriguez Jr. pushing the release to even bigger, higher heights. 

As well as forthcoming eps on Nora En Pure’s Purified label later this year Dee’s next single ‘Freedom’ on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound will continue the upward electronic pressure into summer 2023. These are exciting times for an artist with Dee’s attention to detail and there are so many sonic terrains still left to discover…
