However This Mix Was My Favourite Because It Showcased Mixing All Kinds Of Music, Not Just The Latest Rap Singles Coming Out At The Time. This is a live all 45 mix made with one turntable and a loop pedal. It was constructed for Red Bull's 45 night on October 27 2008 in LA. This mix includes some cutting room floor ideas from The Hard Sell (DJ Shadow and I on 8 turntables and two loop pedals) and elements from what would later be part of my one turntable/loop pedal live mix CD "Sound Of The Police", which is out now.

DDS SOLID STEEL PART 1

Going through some of our old external harddisks dug up in our studio basement annex wine cellar we came across this almost a decade (!) old Kraak & Smaak mixtape, inspired by the likes of Madlib and J Dilla. 
A blend of weird samples, lost and found grooves, it also features long lost Plastic People album demo’s – some of which made it on there eventually (spot ‘m if you can!) and some, well, didn’t.

Remembering the fact that we had good fun making this but never really did anything public with it, we thought it would be cool to share this with you after almost 10 years later after all.

So enjoy and be sure and listen from the top for maximum pleasure!
