Regardless of what people tell you everybody needs a little groove in their life from time to time so for this weeks podcast we secured the services of our go to guy when we’re looking for our house equivalent of our five a day: Martin Landsky. Needing little introduction we’ve long been fans of Martin both as a producer and a DJ. 

Hailing from Hamburg, Martin has been moving crowds for almost three decades, touring the globe and rocking some of the world’s best parties – with everywhere from Berlin to Brooklyn housing his irrepressible talents. Not content with smashing it as both in the DJ booth and the studio he’s also turned his hand distribution and running a label, working for Container Distribution and later for Word And Sound – one of the world’s largest distributers – whilst helming his own label, Effortil Records. Having just reprised his with association with Poker Flat for the release of his new EP 'Da Geh Bo’ (we’ve got the three track effort both in our heads and on our playlists) we thought the time was right for him take the reins on our podcast series. Turn it up!

Murat Tepeli’s trade is poise. In his sets, he creates a perfect harmony between ecstasy and ass shaking on one hand, and gentle emotion and elegance on the other. In his production, he often pairs melancholy with the necessity to dance, opulence and reduction, loud and quiet.

Professionally, Murat Tepeli walks the tightrope of being a DJ in the Club and a surgeon in the operating theatre. He combines these extremes with a playful energy and manages to put the full range of emotions and experiences into his sets.

In 2002, Murat Tepeli started his own productions resulting in his first release in 2005. Tepeli’s EP "On A Ride" found a home on the renowned Playhouse label. Further releases followed on labels like Brut, 240 Volts and an EP on Ostgut Ton. January 2008 saw the release of "Serenity", an album co-produced alongside Prosumer, and the record played a large role in the house renaissance. Several remixes and solo EPs followed, most recently with releases on AVA and Philpot.

Through his energizing sets in clubs such as Zukunft, Fabric, Rex and Paradiso, at festivals in countries like Poland, Israel and India, with regular gigs at Panorama Bar, and a residency at the Cologne-based Pulstar nights, Murat Tepeli has built himself an international fan base. By blending physique and emotion, his sets always represent the pulse of life– a beating heart, full of emotion.

Since the inception of his solo career, Italian born Luca Cazal has achieved much in a short space of time. With an impressive discography across a variety of aliases, including the hugely successful Infinity Ink, Hot Natured and Luca C.& Brigante groups, he’s released via household names: Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, Southern Fried to name a few. In the studio, Cazal draws from a deep well of inspirations that spans Electro, Dub and the classic house and Techno heritage of his homeland. Pair this with an unwavering obsession for hardware and flair for live performance to get a sense of the distinct personality captured in Cazal’s productions.
An avid digger and record collector, whilst humble, driven and devoted to the craft, Cazal is completely at home during both peak time and long-form sets. As an international DJ, he makes regular stops at club culture’s most lionised spaces including Fabric, Club Der Visionnaire, Panorama Bar and of course Ibiza’s DC10 of which he’s been a longstanding resident for, now over seven years and counting.
Constantly evolving, Cazal took first forays into label owning in 2014, first establishing Double Drop with long-term peer Brigante, followed by its See Double offshoot. Since launching both labels have offered material from bastions of the scene: Ivan Smagghe, The Mole, Boris Werner and more, across releases still championed amongst house and techno luminaries.

Artist Bio:
@Humano1111 was born at 11:11, deep in the forest where the energies of fallen tribes still remains intact till this very day. His indigenous nature flows into a fusion of percussion with a deep melodic groovy rhythm. The soil, roots, trees, leaves, sky and sun form an unbreakable connection with the people of earth, to create an elevated state of emotional conscience that in nature, is human.

In 2018, he opened Wildpitch in Atlanta for Miami's hometown hero, Adisyn (Kindisch Records/Akbal Music/Get Physical). Recently, in April 2019, he even played a b2b with Willmer Pereira from NYC. Showing no signs of stopping in 2019, you can expect the unexpected from his deep tribal groovy sound aesthetic while always pushing the envelope by blurring the lines of genres, remaining true to his essence. Currently he is working on music production and his vinyl only sets. You can catch him on warm up duties along side SIS (Crosstown Rebels / Mobilee) in Charlotte very soon.
