One half of esteemed house duo Waifs and Strays, Amos, launches his new alias: Part Time Lover. Debuting on Crosstown Rebels with Don’t Hesitate, the EP is a stunning six track release that features vocals from Danielle Moore and Oli Gosh, as well as remixes from PBR Streetgang

The EP opens with Don’t Hesitate. A pure house groover, Oli Gosh’s vocals provide the track with a seductive flare, whilst the swinging bassline rolls alongside dynamic pulsing keys. Second up is the dub version of Don’t Hesitate. Stripped back yet still wholesome, the mix features whirring pads. Tied comes next, as Danielle Moore’s incredible soulful vocals coat the record with a dance-ready warmth. PBR Streetgang are first up on remix duties, providing an acid-flecked reinterpretation of Tied that harks back to the 80s with electro-like synths and distorted kicks, before their dub mix continues in a similarly driving vein.

English vocalist Oli Gosh has featured on Dutch house music label Armada Deep. Danielle Moore has been the lead singer of Crazy P since 2002, releasing on the likes of Wolf Music Recordings and Smoke ‘N’ Mirrors. PBR Streetgang released their standout album Late Night Party Line last year on the esteemed Skint label.

TB is one of those low-flying phenomenons you wished you crossed paths with earlier. As one of the mastermind behind Munich-based powerhouse Permanent Vacation, he has build up a vast catalog of highly sought-after releases, including names like John Talabot, Mano Le Tough and Todd Terje. Next to curating the record label, Tom Bioly has been tilting heads with his studio output on Permanent Vacation and Hivern Discs.

Following the release of his 2018 'Night Heat' EP, TB gets the remix treatment by Sascha Funke, Gerd Janson, DJ Hotel and Bostro Pesopeo. Our pick comes courtesy of Multi Culti and Kompakt mainstay Sascha Funke, who delivers a soaring dance floor excursion, as he takes 'Would?' into unhinged breakbeat territories. Tip!

Exclusive Coma - Spiracles (Panthera Krause Remix)

Cologne based band Coma released its emotionally catchy mindset Voyage Voyage in late 2019 on the City Slang imprint. The ten-tracker not only stylistically covers a wide range of electronic music but – and more important – Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad precisely captured a collection of moods and sound conglomerations to interconnect them and create a stylistically confident album, which takes the listeners through different musical layers without even noticing it. Now, a good four months after the initial release of Voyage Voyage, the album or rather a small colllection of three tracks from the album, namely A-Train, Bits And Pieces and Spiracles, undergo the remix treatment from renowned artists of the electronic music scene. While Lauer and Julian Stetter reworked Bits And Pieces, Map.ache and Sau Poler revitalized A-Train and lastly Kino Todo and Riotvan co-label head Panthera Krause took on Spiracles. The latter and Leipzig-based creative focuses on the  disco-ish note of Spiracles and emphasizes it by adding a simple yet effective bass line and also pitching the vocals to then add piano chords creating an anthem full of happiness – a counterpart to current social trends and state of minds. 

Coma's Voyage Voyage Remixes will be released on City Slang on March 6th, 2020.
