Introducing Ghost Culture's exciting debut EP 'Mouth', which is about to blow you away with beautifully enveloping, soul-prodding electronica. Pristinely produced, a song shimmering with lucid analogue soul and wholly sexy, "Mouth" sits somewhere between Depeche Mode and Deetron. Glistening with water-drop wonder, each element sparkles as the mid tempo groove develops with liquid grace. Reflective vocals fall delicately over the mild acid bubbles, complementing every slinky, purring twist and turn. For added measure there's also an instrumental which showcases the track's more naked beauty. Backed by 'Red Smoke'.

Berlin meets Casablanca, this is how you could describe this project by Namito and Brams from Morocco. A chance meeting at the legendary Riverside studio complex in Berlin Kreuzberg lead to them joining forces to make music.

The results are two fresh sounding pieces of positive, almost spiritual house music with no real limits or boundaries. Yto takes you on a journey of colourful soundscapes and hypnotising melodies accompanied by a trademark driving groove from the Berlin based producer with Iranian roots, Namito.

Systematic boss Marc Romboy pulled in two of his favourites on remix duty. Artists he knew he could trust when it came to creating new interpretations of the beautiful original. Ruede Hagelstein and Gabriel Ananda instantly agreed and delivered two outstanding and more importantly, touching new versions of Yto.

Following last summers acclaim Ruede Hagelstein's long player 'Apophenia', we once again revisit the album, this time with a few stunning remixes from The Drifter, Can Love Be Synth, and Ruede himself of the hugely popular 'Footprints' feat. C.A.R..

Up first is The Drifter and he turns out what may be his best remix to date with a swelling, emotional ride that will most definitely be an anthem for the coming summer. Taking a different approach, yet just as engaging, Ruede reworks his original into a dark, looping psychedelic odyssey perfect for late nights or early mornings. Can Love Be Synth rounds out the remixes with a gorgeous Pop-esque twist on the original choosing to focus on live instrumentation and retro synthesis resulting in a cross-over favorite. And finally, for all the times you want the vibe without the vocal, a dub version of the original gem.

PREMIERE: Ost & Kjex feat. Whalesharkattacks - Halcyon Eyes (Original Mix) [URSL]

There are few artists making seriously great music while not taking themselves too seriously; that difficult feat is one rarely attempted and even less often successfully carried out. Benoit & Sergio have seemingly effortlessly managed to pull off that contradictory trick, producing songs that sometimes seem like musical open letters: editorials narrated in the voices of unidentified, yet totally recognizable colorful characters, read aloud against a backdrop of beautifully lush, warm and sensuous electronic pop music. The unexpected juxtaposition of such pristine production and playful lyricism -- first exhibited on 2009's highly praised <i>What I've Lost</i> EP, which included the brilliantly sardonic single "Full Grown Man"  -- exemplifies why Benoit & Sergio are one of the most unique and interesting outfits in dance music. It's good news, then, that the Washington, D.C./Berlin-based outfit's eagerly expected DFA debut maintains both the charm and expert craftsmanship of its predecessors. 

Single "Boy Trouble" (the titular counterpoint to "Full Grown Man") launches the EP with all manner of reasons to take to the dancefloor: An exigent beat, a beckoning synthline, a bassline of understated funk. Sergio lethargically sings about girls, making note of both their ups and the downsides, without the hindrance of subtlety. "I love girls/With legs like a Ferrari" he states before noting (bemoaning?) the fact that "You need poetry to turn these girls on." It's a song for the best part of the night, full of compulsive rhythms and a climax that builds on sparkly synths. The accompanying remix from Visionquest -- the Detroit-bred, Berlin-based label led by producers Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves -- amps things up, making the beat a more prominent, driving and club banging force. The flipside features "Full Grown Man" and "What I've Lost," which reveal themselves to be worth more than a few revisits. 

Benoit and Sergio Giorgini -- originally from Paris and Chicago, respectively -- have previously released music on producer Bruno Pronsato's thesongsays label and Ghostly International's Spectral Sound. Sergio also makes music as one half of both Birds & Souls and NDF.
