Timmo is a new name to Drumcode and one in which they hope to be seeing more of. Having released tracks on Fone, BluFin, Octopus and Alleanza to name a few, Timmo's production career is set to shine as his new material is getting noticed from the likes of Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, Nicole Moudaber, Len Faki, Dustin Zahn to name a few. Also launching his own highly revered radio show called 'Big Room' which,has had guests such as Robert Babicz, Umek, Fergie, Alan Fitzpatrick and many more,Timmo is a name to look out for in 2014.  Timmo's debut Drumcode release 'We Beat On' carries a flow through out that gives Timmo his own unique sound that has captured the ears of many highly revered techno DJ's around the world. Timmo uses hypnotic sounds and phrases whilst he always maintains a thumping techno beat that underlies all the tracks within this EP to maximum effect. Furthermore, there is a ghostly feel amongst Timmo's tracks that really provide him with his acquired sound, the pads in 'Canvas' are a beautiful reminder of this. Timmo also uses strong synth stabs to full effect that juxtapose against the drums to help create the tension and aggression that is present within techno.

​German electro pair Digitalism are currently busy finishing their third album, but before that they've got new single 'Roller' coming out. 

It's hard to believe their debut album, 'Idealism', is eight-years-old, but those early tracks like 'Zdarlight' and 'Pogo' still sound just as electrifying as they did then. Second album, 'I Love You Dude', came in 2011 and last year they provided us with a destructive In Session. 

'Roller' kind of falls under the category of destruction, too, and the inclusion of Hotflush associates Dense & Pika with remix only strengthens that.

As Luciano needs little introduction we will just say this, you can guarantee he always comes through with a signature tune once a year.

And so 2015 throws up “7 Directions” featuring JAW on the vocal, a mesmerizing and low-slung track that’s already getting pole position in Luciano’s sets, ending his momentous off-Sonar show at El Poble Espanyol with it, as well as becoming a staple at his weekly Vagabundos residency at Space in Ibiza this season.

"7 Directions” is perhaps one of Luciano’s more understated productions; it’s a sprawling and sultry journey, with deft melodic touches and intricate production techniques, taking care not to become cluttered, rather using the space is enunciate the sheer hypnotism stored within and for JAWs vocals to glide over the listener without fanfare or dramatic clichés.

Today, we are very proud to exlusvely premiere the original mix of EP's eponymous title track. On this mix, brooding pads and spikey synths linger over a spacious drum pattern, live drum fills and claps bouncing off the bass pulses, as wandering keys usher in the unmistakable tones of JAW AKA Jonathan Illel, the musician and vocalist extraordinaire who ply’s his trade with the French electronic group DOP and as a guest on recordings from artists like Mirko Loko and Guillaume & The Coutu Dumounts amongst many others.

Sami is a post-Moondog shamanic tribal trip, while Round combines dilapidated future Goa electronics with just the right amount of cowbell and guitar psych. Vego Gam is lo-fi Spaghetti Western, full of tape delay and amplifier sauce, while Pulse waves and wind chimes ring Russian bells on the title track, Kalacol - a mind-melding dancefloor gem.

A record that could only come from Niv and Dori - another reconfiguration of the Life and Death mausoleum.

France’s Time Has Changed imprint has carved out its own niche in the deep house and tech scenes since starting in 2007, and now label co-boss Acumen steps up for a new EP that confirms it to be one of the freshest labels out there once again.  Acumen himself is still riding high of his debut album for the label last year, but returns with this Welcome Back EP in just as fine form. 

Things open with Deeper Than It Looks, a prowling, heavy weight wedge of house with growling basslines and some colour analogue melodies raining down its face. From there, Three Four Five seems charged with electricity and static as howling synths meander above a down low groove that kicks and slaps you into dancing action. 

Magic Garden then once again proves Acumen has a real grasp on and understanding of his studio with plenty of inviting textures and contrasting surfaces making up a colourful, spare track that speaks of a cosmic late night comedown. 

Finally, the beautifully titled Ellen, Steve & Michael are on a Boat explores more slightly angst-y tech house grooves, with laboured percussion trickling over a chugging bassline and some future facing synths lighting the whole thing up at various intervals. Another fine effort from the man they call Acumen and his label Time Has Changed.
