Following recent appearances on Permanent Vacation, Mute and Correspondant, Terr makes a triumphant return to Phantasy with a deeply dreamy new single, ‘Wings of Time’. Marking Terr's third appearance on the label, and her first since 2019, 'Wings of Time' is complimented by a momentous remix from Tornado Wallace.

‘Wings Of Time’ serves to underscore Daniela Caldellas’ talents as both a producer and performer, a songwriter and a master of dancefloor atmosphere. Terr’s assured vocal performance once again takes front-and-centre, a warm beckoning light through a journey made of shimmering pads, wistful chords and defined by a powerful sense of groove. An instrumental edition further highlights the arrangement, which resolves with rare, cosmic catharsis.

Tornado Wallace appears to stretch the time Terr sings of on his elastic, tunnelling remix, grinding out every inch of tension and detail from the blueprint, expanding minds and widening eyes in the process. While Terr’s original will likely send dancers to the heavens, Wallace reverses the energy source for an unexpectedly bass-heavy interpretation that generates a different, earthier pleasure.

Manuel Castaneda a.k.a. Rigopolar is now based in Miami. He mixes up Italo, disco, techno and wave music on labels like Duro, Aeon, Nazca and Tom Tom Disco. He is a mainstay of the dark disco scene and always takes dance floors on a trip through space and time with his rough-edged but majestically melodic sounds. His new label will be a place for his most comprehensive musical statements yet, and the first offering is an instant classic of the genre.
 
Opener 'Purple Drive' is an expansive astral disco cut with sweeping guitar riffs and dazzling disco-fried synth work. It's chuggy and packed with stylish reverb and a well-treated vocal. Next is the twinkling 'Inversus Totalis,' which melts swaggering and dubbed out drums with twitchy synths into a sleek and far-sighted dance floor destroyer in the mold of ALFOS. The brilliant 'Melting Moon' is another dark disco gem that is quick to lock you in with its tinny percussion and rugged arps. They're backed with coarse hits and a pulsing bassline that forever forges forwards through the stars. 'Saturnia' closes down with mind-melting synth loops and prickly hits. The drums are firmly rooted, while splashy cymbals and vocoder vocals add that deep space feel.
 
A second EP is already in the works for later in the year and is sure to confirm this is an essential new label for dark disco heads.

Long time Watergate resident @matthias-meyer embarks on a momentous summer schedule this year propelled by some career defining moments of late. On the music front, he has continued his quality approach with a small number of high impact releases in recent times including the Beatport Deep House number 1 ‘Hope’ alongside Ryan Davis on his beloved Watergate Records and the Pete Tong endorsed remix of Butch - ‘Shahzrad’ (which made his BBC Radio 1 Tunes of the Year list alongside many established luminaries). These releases join a stellar discography which includes fan favourites such as ‘Reichanbach’, ‘Tout Va Bien’, ‘November Rain’ and of course, ‘Infinity’. 
The past few months on the road have also provided some poignant moments for Meyer with visits to the likes of Tobacco Dock, Liverpool’s Circus, Fabrik - Madrid, Rex Paris, Cityfox in New York and of course the renowned Stereo in Montreal. Another of his highlights on the road was a memorable trip to Brazil, playing D-Edge and Warung to universal acclaim. Alongside this the German also found time for a number of pivotal festival appearances (Strawberry Fields in Australia proving to be a particular highlight) and performances at both the Mixmag Lab and Boiler Room, Berlin. 
Following on from his well-received residency at Pacha, Ibiza alongside Hot Since 82 last year, Meyer will return to the landmark venue once more this summer as well as venturing further afield to play Ibiza bastions Hï and Heart. 
With a style that ranges from uplifting and orchestral to deep tribal grooves, the Berlin based selector will continue to showcase his diverse talents globally throughout the rest of 2018, kicking off the summer with a considerable European tour before his long awaited return to the white isle. Meyer looks set to finish this year just as he started it, with an action packed schedule focused around an expansive US tour.
