Mix #137 comes straight out the cradle of house music. Chicago's Ricardo Miranda might not be a name that immediately rings a bell, yet his influence on underground dance music is significant. His music reflects a traditional House culture that goes beyond just sound or legendary stories. While his industry peers recite fond memories of The Music Box, The Bismark and other musical institutions – Ricardo sat in front of a big Pioneer Radio listening & recording mixes from Chicago radio stations WRRG, WBMX AM/FM & WGCI which included a hefty dose of early House Music, Italian Imports and Electro. But, it was the new sound of Chicago House that made a profound impact on his soul..

An exponent of quality real house and techno music. My ethos is to let the music do the work and to present the artists work straight up.  Being a selector I try and move an audience from A to B taking them on a journey by always playing across sub-genres never ending in the same place.  I use 2010 Mk2 decks with Urei Soundcraft Mixer no samplers / cds etc.  During early 1990s was a Reggae and Dance music buyer for Tower Records in London.  Dj'd on a number of underground soundsystems in South London including Vox Populi and Channel One.  Ran a successful house music night called Shiver. Dj'd at Club UK, Surgeries of Sound, & local resident at Red Planet alongside Detroit djs such as Blake Baxter and Suburban Knight Pennington.  As of 2017 I am back out playing again with LOVEBEAT with gigs coming up at Cafe Cairo, and Rye Wax LONDON.
