Dear all, 
Here is the live recording of the closing set which I played at Cirque Magique in 2018, Friday night. So, basically, my job was to give the ravers who were camping at the festival, a last dance and then put them to sleep. Thus the set starts with a punch and slowly winds down a bit towards the end. 

This upload is one in a series that should follow, if I keep my resolution to start uploading more live sets, especially the sets from my archives because I have hundreds of recorded sets that I never uploaded, for no reason (I guess I was just always busy and not well organised). 

The occasion to upload this specific one today is of course, that I will play again at this magical festival on Saturday - so I thought it was a nice way to remind you all that you should come and see me play :-)

Rooted in jazz phrasing, improvisation, and syncopated rhythmics, “So Dreamed Times” blends melancholic piano with triumphant trumpets and deep house energy. Playful, distorted vocals repeat like an autogenic training, turning fragments of a lullaby into a surreal, autobiographical reflection — an embrace of both melancholy and empowerment on the path to brighter days. / This track emerges from my jazz background, where I wanted to explore phrasing, improvisation, and the textures of acoustic instruments. I began with the idea of playing with rhythms and sounds that evoke the atmosphere of a jazzy lullaby, then placed them within a deep, powerful house landscape. Playful distorted vocals weave through the track, recalling the lullaby theme while carrying lyrics that shift between the surreal and the biographical - Luisa Rossini, a.k.a. NoN project, is a music producer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ.
NoN project began as a jazz singer before diving into electronic production, blending downtempo, deep house, melodic techno, trip-hop, and nu-jazz. Her style merges Italian-inflected vocals, jazzy warmth, distorted tones, and surreal lyrics with layers of guitar, synths, trumpet, and piano over deep house grooves and syncopated beats. Eclectic and playful, she creates soundscapes that move from dreamy atmospheres to vibrant dance-floor energy, reflecting the diversity of her musical journey.

Here is last Friday's recording of pretty much the full 3 hour set as I started it a little late. A bit of a dirty recording - some of the hard settings on the recorder must have gotten shifted in my travels but it was meant to be. The dance floor didn’t let up for the entire duration and what a pleasure it was to look out into the crowd and see nothing but pure bliss. I completely lost track of time towards the end of the set and didn’t get the chance to properly wind down the energy for the closing moments, but still managed to think fast for a memorable ending. Big shoutout to those last 30 to 40 people who didn’t want to go home!

A mix of light, dark, grit, perfection, mistakes and mishaps, highs, lows…a journey..in all it’s ugliness and beauty..

Institution_YWG, thank you so much for continuing to make my dreams into reality. DJs, If you ever get the chance to work with the Institution_YWG team, you are very lucky. A hell of an experience.

Sich nicht treiben lassen, sondern durch magische Kräfte getrieben werden hinaus zu den so viel beschworenen "neuen Ufern". Das wäre es doch. Einfach mal die Perspektive Wechseln und nicht über den Tellerrand schauen, sondern gleich den ganz Tisch verlassen. Ein wahrlich erhebendes Gefühl.

Die Welt schwindet unter deinen Füßen. Dinge die eben noch klein waren sind jetzt noch viel kleiner. Du tauchst ein ins reißende Blau welches weiß durchsetzt ist und sich schließlich in ein allumfassendes Schwarz verwandelt, welches zu glitzern scheint. Hier oben weit weg vom heimischen Teller ist alles anders, es kann für Erkenntnisse sorgen, es kann aber auch verängstigen
Über den Dingen schweben ist nicht einfach. Aber unser heutiger Gast hat uns eine deep story zu diesem Thema mitgebracht. Was er in Form von Ton berichtet bewegt, da geht nicht nur der Körper, sondern auch das Herz in die Luft!
