We don't need an introduction here... Larry Heard aka Mr. Fingers simply has a sound of his very own... & if you been in tha house scene for tha past, well myself since 1985... there simply isn't any1 on thiz planet that can match 2 what Larry creates muzikally.
Besides muzik, Larry has been a very close friend for many yrs. He has been with me through many of my personal life battles in this life & always checked up on me  & would send Bible verses 2 pick me up as my Christian brother who I love with all my heart!!! <3

Ruede has straddled the worlds of design, editorial and DJing ever since he first got involved with music. He became editor at Flyer magazine in Berlin at the beginning of the 2000s, which helped to further cement his relationship with the city's electronic music scene. Though he had experimented with music as a child, singing in a choir and playing both the flute and the guitar it wasn't until he got hold of a computer and started to make music via software that he truly began to express himself musically.

As time went on he began to release his music and gradually became recognised as a respected musician. He joined the Watergate crew and his career has spiralled upwards ever since, most rceently he was responsible for the excellent Watergate 13 compilation. It's an honour to have one of Berlin's finest on board for our mix tape series and it's a special one, enjoy!

Norm Talley has only become widely known outside of his hometown over the last five or so years, thanks to a slew of impressive releases on European labels such as Sushitech, Third Ear, Landed and Rue De Plaisance among others. However, his history runs far far deeper than just the last few years. Norm grew up on a diet of jazz, disco and progressive.

It wasn't long before his musical addiction evolved into DJing, though his early set up was very basic comprised one turntable, an eight-track player, a receiver and some speakers. As time went on he got hold of better equipment, began DJing for friends and progressed into becoming a prolific performer - recording many of his sets and resulting in a collection of mixtapes and mix CDs totaling over 1,000.

And Deep House London are the latest recipients of a mix (recorded for the One Illusion party in Barcelona: http://bit.ly/1pL7x43) from the superlative selector. Make sure you check it out below, it's a special one indeed.

A very special 40th episode showcases arguably one of the best triple packs every released, especially considering it was relatively early in the timeline of mix cd history (1996). It features selections from Derrick Carter, Andrew Weatherall and Back to Basic's resident, Ralph Lawson.

We originally featured this CD in the early days of The Classic Mix CD Series, when it was recommended by Shindig's Scott Bradford as his most influential piece in his collection.

So it's fitting, that after more shouts out to use it from everyone on Facebook, that we feature all 3 discs for the 400th episode celebration. Thanks to everyone for getting involved all of the plays and positive messages.
