Based in Berlin, Zigan Aldi contributed to trueColors’ VA from earlier this year alongside Bedouin, Nu and Stavroz, which has conquered the beatport charts and stayed strong in the vinyl charts of both, decks.de and deejay.de. Titled ‘Fidale’, his next outing on trueColors sees Aldi make use of analog gear and original recordings of real instruments as opposed to samples, as well as tape to mix the tracks down. This year has seen the producer gig regularly in locations like Ibiza, Vienna, Berlin and Istanbul where his live performances incorporate musicians.

The tracks have gotten tremendous support and love throughout the summer, at the Saga parties at Heart Ibiza, where Zigan holds a residency... as well as BBC Radio 1 support!

The digital release includes 9 tracks, that promise to take the charts by storm, with Zigan's signature esoteric ethnic electronica.

Sol Selectas is very proud to welcome Kincaid for his first solo EP titled Marlow’s Trail. The young producer from London gives us 3 unique original tracks, each one taking us on an immersive journey. The songs have a powerful African tribal feel, continuously progressing grooves, and a psychedelic destination.  “Marlow’s Trail” the opening track, as well as the title of the EP itself, are loosely based on concepts from the classic novel Heart of Darkness.  The main character Marlow travels deep up the Congo river in search of a mysterious man, with every turn becoming more and more surreal. “TFLLFT” refers to the transport for London, or the Tube, and is a personal tale about the artist himself losing his identity, then finding it again, all while riding this magical train. And finally “Rattle” refers to a serpent in the jungle along this wild path, with the metallic percussions creating the backbone for the song, and its trippy arpeggios leading us out of the darkness. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali visualizes the music, taking us along for the bizarre ride through the safari, encountering wild animals, mystical nature, and finally the snake itself.

For release number 197 on Ready Mix Record, French producer Gulivert delivers two deeply meditative cuts, complete with remixes by The Soul Brothers and Sorä & Massam.  

Known for his uptempo house releases on Catwash Records and Roush, Gulivert unveils his more spiritual side here, embracing psychedelic, Eastern sounds. 

Opening track 'Atlantis' is heavily influenced by Indian 'ragas' improvisations, with droning sitars providing a bed for eastern arpeggios, mysterious melodies and a slow, hypnotic rhythm section.  

Hailing from Puebla, Mexico, production duo The Soul Brothers turn in a delightfully subtle, percussive deep house reworking of 'Atlantis', letting fragments of melody weave their way in and out of a tight, solid groove.  

The French pairing of Sorä & Massam take 'Atlantis' into more dramatic territory, with sweeping, ambitious atmospherics gradually leading the way toward tense arpeggios and heavier drums. 

Finally, Gulivert's second original track 'Yatra Discovery' has a loose, improvised feel, with mbira, strings and eastern flutes jamming together over afro-latin inspired percussion and piano chords.
