Anyone who knows me, knows how i love an afterparty! Especially one of those ones back at my place where everyone involved tries to find their weirdest / trippiest music and funniest you tube clip in contribution to the vibes at the party. This mix has been a labor of love for the best part of the last year for me and something i've been really excited to share with the world. Welcome to my Roadshow of wrong! a new series of mixtapes and parties for the late night thinkers out there!

I have taken inspiration from Chris Morris's old Warp records podcasts here and things like adult Swim's "off the air" series a mix of great music and comedy. I wanted to design something that the listener can sit down with people they love, put their feet up, get in the zone, form a cuddle puddle if at all possible and listen to these mixes like watching a good movie. After 'Sentimental' his latest release on Nomada Records the exploration of harmonic dubs and the influence of disco has always been present on Nico's work. He comes now with a release in which repetition comes present in every song in which the song developed throughout without being obvious. Congas, shakers and a common vibrating rhodes fills up the EP named 'Dub Shaker'.

Steam its first track introduces the mood that will be present on the whole EP, making it a soft club song with an on going baseline, finishing with sweet vocals and pulsating horns. Follow up by “Can’t do my thing” a dub track with an on going guitar riff which develops frenzy in the club. And last but not least of the original tracks comes “Reflect' a definitely club track which translates in a fluctuating bass companied by sweet soul vocals and a romanticised rhodes piano. The EP includes an stunning remix by one of Nico's favourites Dicky Trisco, who never disappoints when it comes to baselines & disco. Enjoy Nico Saav's Steam EP.
