Madloch's Sound Avenue opens the new year by showcasing new interpretations of Eric Lune's 'Dreaming Home'. Originally released in May of 2021 as part of the Aussie artist's 'Dreaming Home' two-track showcase, its tastefully melodic disposition proved to be a worthy follow-up to 2019's progressive anthem 'Embers'. Now as 2022 gets underway, Sound Avenue invites Sebastian Sellares, Forty Cats and Harmonious to re-imagine 'Dreaming Home' for the winter season.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of 'Dreaming Home' is Sebastian Sellares. Also known under his previous moniker Monje, Sebastian hails from one of Argentina's most talent-rich regions in Cordoba. Since adopting his given name for his musical endeavors in 2018, Sebastian has gone on to showcase his music via UK behemoth Anjunadeep, Antrim's Or Two Strangers, GMJ and Matter's meanwhile and long-standing US imprint Proton Music. Having made his Sound Avenue debut in 2021 with a well-received rendition of 'Union Eterna' by Matias Vilas, Sebastian now makes a welcome return to the label with a stunning take on 'Dreaming Home'. Fluid and groovy in equal measure, it's a mix that carries the spirit of the original, while adding a peak time sensibility through driving grooves and otherworldly effects. Building beautifully across the first movement, Sebastian fragments the lead theme and reprocesses the vocal into a colourful canopy which blankets a trance inducing groove. Emotive chord changes carry a strong character into the break, perfectly setting the stage for the lead theme to work its magic. Its nostalgic musicality resonates against a backdrop of shapeshifting vocals and cosmic effects, tastefully building tension towards a classy crescendo and heartfelt finale.

Lost & Found deliver the long-awaited, highly anticipated remix package for Khen's 'One Day Of Independence' LP this week. It's a stacked line-up on the release with label boss Guy J himself, Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Termoment and rising star Patrice Baumel all turning in their own takes on cuts from the album. Baumel, who's seized major attention with releases on the likes of Kompakt and Anjunadeep over the last year, provides a sleek, smooth, synth-laden roller for the occasion, taking the original track up a notch in intensity. We're very excited to present the remix in full premiere today :)

In the words of the Amsterdam-based producer himself, Baumel explained "I consider Khen one of the most promising new artists in electronic dance music and was blown away by his album. Edu Imbernon - S.Y.L.



Cryptozoology, the search for and study of animals whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated, such as the Loch Ness monster and the yeti, is something that Henry Saiz finds deeply intriguing. His love of exoticism and strange natural/organic sounds (his own label is called Natura Sonoris - which means Nature of Sound) provide the fuel for this latest stunning Bedrock release.

“The Cryptozoologist” has an instantly striking, mysterious Andean / Peruvian melodic influence that harks back to cultures shrouded in the mysteries of time, creating a truly haunting track. “Uncharted” is equally hypnotic and enthralling and yet distinctly different. Henry is using a lot of analogue vintage gear to create his music, which is giving him a very distinct sound, a path that will lead to his hotly awaited debut artist album (due out in April 2013) on which he will delve totally into and explore an analogue world (www.wearehenrysaiz.com).

Henry's critically acclaimed “Balance 019” album, released in 2011, was the catalyst for his star potential explode around the globe. His superb collaboration with Guy J (“Meridian”) and his solo track (“La Marea”) for the landmark Bedrock 100 release, were of the highest level of quality and his most recent release, “Our Discovery” (Natura Sonoris), became a huge Ibiza hit this summer, with supporters including John Digweed, Sasha, M.A.N.D.Y., Luciano, Visionquest, Danny Howells and many others. Henry Saiz is undoubtedly an extraordinarily talented young producer who is simply too exciting to be ignored!
