Sometimes all you crave is some pumping house music, and burgeoning Glaswegian producer James Vox delivers exactly that, with style and intent. Inspired by the mid-’00s sound of labels like Soma Records, it was only a matter of time before his demos found their way to Silicone Soul’s grateful ears and onto Darkroom Dubs.

But these traxx are no simple homage. On Pressure, ’70s Kingston meets with Slam’s legendary club night uptown for a late-night jam, packed with Trojan-era toasting and a massive Reese-style bassline, built for darkrooms and peak moments. Second track, Clouds, motions into deeper territory, but there’s no let-up in pace or vibe. With a killer breakdown, it delivers undistilled, pure house joy. Then, closing the EP, Let It Go lands sweetly between the twin pillars of house and techno, blending Detroit-tinged electronics with the unmistakable energy of a Love Sensation-age Loleatta Holloway.

Unbridled, club-primed, and ready to ride into the festive season, James Vox’s productions have already caught the attention of Karotte, Radio Slave, and Harvey McKay. As a debut, it’s an impressive statement, channelling the Darkroom Dubs spirit with precision.

Marc Martinez aka AFFKT proves again that he is not afraid of going against the rules with his open minded "Cold Sweat EP" for Sincopat. New EP release will be out on December 13th and what we have here is the worldwide premiere of the track "Llobarro", the secret weapon of the EP with a bunch of 'out of space' synths. 

"Cold Sweat EP" brings three powerful original tracks plus an exquisite remix by the Mexican amazing talent Theus Mago. Fireworks light up with "Samorra", a strong electronic piece with hypnotic bass and outstanding filters, be sure that the test in the club will reach madness. On remix duties we got the eclectic and innovative Theus Mago delivering a really huge re-interpretation of the track, adding even more organic flavoured notes to the picture. "Beetlejuice" is the dessert of these timeless menu, and it offers some surprising sounds and noises in an incredible breakdown.

For the Wout Records release #91 we have a very special treat. Zaria is heartily welcome with the powerful and yet gentle “Sirius” EP. The main key of this 5-tracker are highly dynamic compositions carried piggyback by expressive electronic drums. The audience and dancefloorers will love the synths snippets that wander through the complete stereo field; deep basslines that force the feet to move and chord progressions that will give you long-lasting goose bumps. The tracks are intentionally structured, but still diversified and especially they surprise in various positions. The whole EP feels like hypnotic and impactful melodic trip, with constant growth and intense breaks. Most important reason for the release is that everything sounds fresh, there are some features that you have never heard before in this abstract combination and it will give a special momentum. Mila Journée was invited to disassemble the title track “Sirius” into small individual parts and reassemble them. Open synth lines with a lot of harmonics swirl around a hefty bass drum. Her remix goes forward, has many new elements without deviating too much from the original. Definitely a true highlight of our previous releases.

Australian artist Mani joins the newly formed Interfonic label with a dark and brooding EP entitled ‘Bane’. Divided by his home in Byron Bay, Brisbane and the recently booming Sydney Underground, Mani has asserted his unique flavour of Progressive music in the dance community. 
From his early beginnings almost 8 years ago he has strived to create atmospheric, forward thinking dance music that he was introduced to on the dance floor in his early days. 
Coming a long way since his early endeavors Mani has gained support from the likes of Eric Prydz (featuring in his 2013 Essential mix), Cassian, Brodanse & Groove Armada, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Djuma Soundsystem, Fehrplay and continues to strive forward and turn heads with his ‘Bane’ EP for the Interfonic imprint following releases from Luke Alessi and Made In Paris & Pantheon. 
‘Bane’ is the first cut and immediately combines subtle percs with eerie synth work and a patience draped in wicked sentiment. ‘Pyre’ then picks up where ‘Bane’ left off creating a DJ tool which is stapled by a nefarious bassline and an obscenely contagious arp swirling throughout creating carefully curated chaos. 
‘Sable’ then rounds off the magnificent EP with the creation of real moments tied into timbres of exquisite tension.

Sensory Overlap occurs when multiple senses blend with each other - where smell, touch and sight intertwine to create a unified experience. The second track off of Proximo's 'False Hope' EP, this track is a winding and euphoric trip, and is meant to try and incite the overlapping of senses in the listener. Intense and almost unrelenting, each drop builds on the last and comes to a triumphant culmination on the third drop. The title 'Sensory Overlap' is taken from William Gibson's classic Cyberpunk novel 'Neuromancer', an inspiring masterpiece which Proximo ascribes much of his style to.
