I’m really happy to share the next Deep Mind Music today, from my friend Adam Pits. A calming and serene entry, listening to this mix feels like floating on your back in a cool lake on a hot day. A quenching refreshment for a frazzled mind 🩵

The mix wanders gently through slowly morphing landscapes. The soft twitter of birdsong brings us to a dusk dappled forest, warm drones coaxing us further inwards in a lackadaisical swirl. Toward the end of the mix we are uplifted by luminescent arpeggios which draw rainbow trails through the sky above 🍃☀️🌿

I sense in Adam’s selections and musical approach a shared sensitivity to the innate emotive undertones of music, as well as sounds which have an inherent depth and vitality to them. I hope you enjoy listening to this meditative mix as much as I have 🪶

The tunnel is a magical stage and im very grateful to have been asked to play the Saturday late afternoon set, before one of my biggest electronic-music inspirations, voices from the lake. I took the opportunity, considering the impeccable programming, open minded crowd, and perfect soundsystem to play a more slow building, delicate festival set - which felt very true to my real taste, and an homage to many of my deepest and longest standing inspirations. I recorded this mix sitting on the carpet of my partner and I's new home, pulling out some old records and enjoying the comfort of our new living room which now also houses my custom green monitors. Sundays to me have a naturally relaxed and positive vibe and it's the same day that I throw my event 'Park Dub'. The music at Park Dub is generally a mixture of electronic dub tracks and more rootsy dub reggae but I usually tell the DJ's playing that 'anything with enough reverb and delay is fine', haha. I tried to capture the spirit of Park Dub in the mix.
