R o l a n d s o n has been a long term companion of BeYond, playing the first ever set for us at BeHome some winters ago. A true storyteller, he has led us on many voyages, as the winds from the Baltic sea carried him to Berlin we begin this new journey together on a ship of time bending depth, arriving to meet glorious moments and experience places out of this realm. Maybe even something that could be considered "Lost Time" recaptured. 

A swift adventure through mesmerizing and hypnotic beats, beginning with a ceremonial pinch leading into a guidance of housey punchlines which steadily travel throughout this wondrous piece of auditorial beauty. 

A truly artistic compilation touching the unexplored, yet held with an anchored groove, our curiosity is pushed further, spinning between lost and found. We are drawn into an exploration where deeper voices call messages from beyond this realm and sweet incantations are whispered into our ears, R o l a n d s o n weaves our direction bringing us an acoustic embodiment, letting us forget what is obscured. Time.  

Amongst the waves of curiosity, we are reminded that no one is left alone. Not here. Not there. Not beyond measure. We reach the point when the spinning will stop and all of us children will be fine.

jane ulé Musik steht für wilde Mischungen und neue Kreationen. Eine wahre Kennerin und Gräberin auf der Suche nach besonderern Soundschätzen, die sie zu stets lässigen, trippigen und mutigen, vor allem Genregrenzen sprengenden und deshalb so spannenden Klangcocktails zusammen mischt. Hauptsache die Geschwindigkeit stimmt, Hauptsache wohl temperiert. Mit ihrem ganz besonderen Daumen verdreht sie die Knöpfe, gepaart mit einer großen Menge Spaß und nicht allzu sehr hochgehaltenen Ernsthaftigkeit bis am Ende der sogenannte Daumtempo entsteht.

hey guys, this is the opening set i played on this beautiful & sunny "backyard" floor on sunday at the lovely "wonderland" festival, somewhere in the hills in the middle of germany :) 
for your sunday buffet, i offered a some delicious tunes somewhere between 103 to 117 bpm.
thx to all the beautiful souls dancing barefoot in the sand under the hot sun, or chillin in the shadows. i met more friends, then i expected which i really enjoyed <3

Given the abundance of communication we had before @andyszanky’s set was ready, and how thorough we were in choosing a title and preparing a cover for the mix, the text you are now reading should have been a book, which we should have started writing years ago. When you listen to the mix, you will realize that the text could be about anything really: about time, which on the one hand is never enough, but on the other hand, if we are our own time, it can never be measured in order to be or not to be enough; about music and its mission or just sound or maybe silence; about human relationships and trust, which is one of the foundations of those relationships; about spaces and destroying those spaces; about the weird days and the very weird things we have going on these days. We could continue the list but you better listen to the mix. And if you truly, carefully listen to it, you will also see a lot of things.
