Please meet Ricardo Vincenzo, your shaman from Sao Paolo for the next hour in the next Urban Cosmonaut Radio podcast #24.

But he’s not just a shaman - he’s also an avid collector of samples and an audio collage enthusiast with exquisite taste in forgotten old songs and Brazilian tropicalia infused music. In a melange of leftover samples, organic shamanic sounds and spiritual tunes, we are immersed in sounds and spheres unique to him. 

Having learned the piano as a kid, Ricardo had been making experimental music for a few years before starting his solo project, which he describes as having more dance floor friendly elements. His productions are inflenced by funk carioca music, which also produced as live sets with samples, repetitive phases and vocal percussions. 

Like a chef creating a culinary experience, we’re hungry to discover the sound scapes he has cooked for us and say: Bom apetite!

PALE PENGUIN’s one of the key figures in Greek electronic scene. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, he’s been djing for almost 25 years now being one of the best Greek djs. In his portfolio there are appearances in big festivals and many venues throughout Greece and Europe.

Since early 2007, he has launched and manages V.I.M. (Very Important Music) Records, releasing quality Breaks, Tech-House, Electronica singles and albums by many International and Greek artists. In the beginning of 2011 he has started the Afrotropical parties/events DISCOTECA INTERNACIONAL with great success till today, while together with Stama (ERASE RECORDS owner) he has launched DIABLO LOCO RECORDS, a label inspired by traditional Mexican wrestling and the famous Luchadores, specialized in top quality Tech-Breaks/Tech-Funk releases. DIABLO LOCO RECORDS managed to won the BREAKSPOLL’s 2012 BEST NEW BREAKS LABEL AWARD. At the beginning of 2013 he has launched another quality label called DEEP GARNET RECORDS, a label focusing on the deeper side of Breaks with Deep and Futuristic breaks monthly releases and in 2014 he launched the Booty-Breaks label FANTOMAS RECORDS focused mainly on the Booty-Bass sound! In the beginning of 2015 together with Larry SKG and Forgivmi launched the higly successful Electronic Afrotropical label SHANGO RECORDS.

ABOUT Iva:

Electronic music was in Iva's life from the earliest age, as she has been influenced by her father listening to various artists such as Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Moloko, Faithless during the 90s. Iva was playing piano for 6 years and finished music school as a solo singer. During her studies at university she realized that she had to come back to music in some way, so she started DJ-ing in 2015. First parties with her friends were organised in Monsun Bar in Belgrade under the name "Filthy beats". She had the opportunity to play in Belgrade's finest clubs. She is constantly seeking a new chance to represent herself, first of all as a lover of music and a digger of quality sound, combining different types from house to minimal, from downtempo to dubby deep vibes.
