We start 2024 with another Ukrainian masterclass. As founding member of Rythm Büro, Alexander, aka Na Nich is no stranger to many of us. Having released on labels such as Delsin, Semantica, Oblique Music and his own imprint, his signature techno and breakbeat sounds will surely ring a bell.

Regardless of the genre, Alexander's music is characterized by his signature groove and engineering perfection, as he remains forward-thinking in his approach.

At the root of Nick Lapien and Robin Koek’s Artefakt project is a shared love for melancholic, hypnotic voodoo music. Their sound is pensive with deep, rich textures; long track lengths—often six-minutes-plus—give the duo an expansive framework in which to make small changes of texture and tone, creating cerebral, balanced atmospheres that absorb and engage. 

“Sometimes we just take a short element, like the sound of a falling drop of water, and from this recording we extract the rhythm and use it as a starting point,” they say. “It’s a very organic way of creating new material.”

The 2nd set uploaded from this party that we did with Perc Trax back in June 2012 is from headliner on the night Kangding Ray. 

With a number of LP & EP releases out already at the time on Raster-Noton we had wanted to book David for quite a few years previously and it never quite came off until this night. It was well worth the wait as he delivered an exceptionally exquisite live set jam packed with his signature atmospherics and carefully put together tones & textures.

Droneghost is the main musical project of Jaume Muntsant, producer and dj from Barcelona. The project started in 2015 with the intention of creating a dark sound universe, inspired by David Lynch, Lovecraft, Spanish ghost stories and other mysteries through the combination of techno, ambient and drone elements. Since then he has released his music on several labels such as Space Textures, Circular Limited, Aarden Records or Systolic, as well as on his own Bandcamp. 

This live set was recorded live at the Midline night organized by ABSIS at LAUT in Barcelona last year. The live set is made up of the sounds, loops and remixed patterns of Droneghost's material, working with Ableton as the main element and accompanied by a drum machine.

MNMT Label Showcase presents Northallsen Records mixed by Aleja Sanchez (@djalejasanchez)

Northallsen Records is an electronic music label founded in Bogotá, Colombia in 2016 by Aleja Sanchez.

The label's sound embraces the realms of hypnotism and explores the fusion between organic soundscapes, experimental and acoustic elements, with the powerful load of techno music, revealing a sonic narrative that flows between the mysticism of ancestral cultures and the spiritual power of nature.

In order to build the concept, far away from trying to emulate a sound, the label curation is focused on artists with their own identity and particular voice, with a foundation into their musical and artistic proposals. Recent releases have featured the likes of Oscar Mulero, Deepbass, Reggy van Oers, Magna Pia, Polygonia, Tekra, !nertia, Psyk, Laertes, Iori and founder Aleja Sanchez.

The label is intended to keep and highlight the deepness and beauty of techno and electronic music since Northallsen considers music as a tool to help bring harmony and peace in the middle of the tragic war-related situation we all are facing currently around the world.

Vera Logdanidi's journey in the music industry began as a DJ in Kyiv, Ukraine during the mid-2000s. Since then, she has made significant strides as a producer, with her music finding a home on esteemed labels such as Rhythm Büro, Semantica Records, On Board Music, Dial Records, Corridor Audio and Secuencias Temporales. Her solo and collaborative tracks have received remix treatments from artists including Eric Cloutier, Artefakt, and Svreca. Moreover, her experiments in collaborations have led to joint live performances with Ukrainian producer Na Nich.
Apart of producing her own music, Vera frequently tours both domestically and internationally. Her wide range of music allows her to express her vision to both small and large crowds. Her sets have reverberated through iconic venues including Bassiani, Panorama Bar, Tresor, Closer, ∄ and other venues. Her name frequently graces the lineups of esteemed festivals, including Monument Festival, Ickra, Strichka, Brave Factory Festival, Up To Date Festival and many others. These diverse platforms have provided her the freedom to show different musical styles, ranging from powerful, groovy or mental techno to experiments with music on the verge of house, ambient and occasionally delve into jungle, which holds a special place in her musical journey. Aside from producing and touring she is co-running Rhythm Büro events. One of the most unique events produced by Rhythm Büro is the Natura festival, which takes place once a year in a remote location outside Ukraine’s capital. Despite the event's secrecy, remoteness, and limited promotion, Natura attracts over 4,000 guests each year, with early-bird tickets selling out within the first hour of the event's announcement.

Dino Sabatini has created the first Domus Cast sound experience, which has been dedicated and donated to the Domus collective.

In his dj set, the artist redefines the boundaries of different music genres. He combined techno, ambient and dub elements to create the deepest and most immersive listening music experience. He is the pioneer of the Deep Techno movement and the founder of Outis Music. Dino is definitely one of the greatest exponents of the Roman techno music scene.
