Tras una vida entera entregada a la música, desde el género clásico, pasando por las músicas del mundo hasta la electrónica, la madrileña Raquel Mendiguren AKA Mendi siempre ha perseguido nuevas tendencias y sonidos underground que le llevan a dar el salto como dj, por la necesidad de revelar su eco.

Aplicada al techno, ha tocado en muchas de las salas de la capital, pasando por las sesiones de Cassette, Stardust (apoyo al proyecto “She Make Noise”) Synth, XYZ y Serendipia entre otras, teniendo residencia en el club Cabra Negra y en Elecktra Club.

Su gran  y afición por la música le hacen tener como referentes diferentes sellos y artistas muy  diversos en estilo. Gracias al constante análisis y el dedicado tiempo para la selección, Mendi crea concepto, sus sets se caracterizan por un sonido de atmósÿeras oscuras, bases contundentes, disonancias y melodías hipnóticas. Fiel a distinguir tracks especiales de sus artistas predilectos, con mucho gusto, toca un abanico amplio entre los subgéneros del techno,
consagrando, junto con la generación actual de la escena madrileña, un techno de oídos avanzados.

Mendi sigue creciendo y evolucionando en la escena sin dejar indiferente además de apoyar y colaborar con colectivos y asociaciones que promueven la música electrónica como E.A.C
(Electrónica es Arte y Cultura) y NIX (Foro cultural y social sobre la noche de Madrid).

数種類のミックス音源を発表しただけで未だにプロダクションのリリースはないものの、ライブストリーミングスタジオDOMMUNE、FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL、LIQUIDROOMのカウントダウンパーティー、RURALやLIFE FORCE等のアンダーグラウンドパーティーへの出演、北海道から沖縄まで日本各地でのロングセット、また数々の来日アクトのサポートまで活躍の場は多岐に渡る。
BLACK SMOKER RECORDSのDJ YAZIとのインプロビゼーションユニット"TWIN PEAKS"としても活動し、ハードウェアを導入した実験性の高いライブセットを展開している。

-こちらはどちらで収録したミックスですか？

今年(2014年)の4月に千葉のLoom roungeで開催したFuture Terrorの時に録音しました。


-コンセプトなどがあれば教えてください。

録音された時間帯は朝の9~10時くらいからで、2.5時間のプレイから抜粋しています。千葉でやる時ならではの雰囲気になっていると思うので、パーティーの空気感ごと伝わっていれば嬉しいです。トラックメーカーでDJもやっているワタイガラシさんにポッドキャスト向けにマスタリングしてもらっています。


-最近の活動を教えてください

年末にFTをやる予定です。もちろんそれ以外にも様々なパーティーにDJで誘っていただいてるのでタイミングが合えばぜひ現場に遊びに来てください。あと制作をもっとやりたいです。

Luigi Tozzi doesn't need much of an introduction at the moment. For a year and a bit now hes been a key figure in techno production amongst some circles. With regular releases on all sort of Labels including Hypnus and Kabalion, sister Labels from NTOGN's swedish outfit. An amazing rise from another subsekt-dweller that remember seeing on the forum asking for advice on sub-bass production on one of his very early works. Really amazing to see him do so well in the scene.

Ive been looking forward to having him on the series for sometime, and theres not much better ways to start a new year. An excellently warm and vibrant mix.

Sylvain Peltier aka Zadig has been part of the rave scene since the '90s and has since 2010 had releases on many famous labels such as Tresor, Deeply Rooted, Chronicle, Syncrophone to name few. Since then he has created his own record label Construct Re-Form, which first was meant as a platform for his own publications, but which now also releases artists such as Antigone, Voiski and Birth of Frequency. Podcast #034 : Deepbass.

Naming the project Deepbass was a strong statement of intent and commitment to a sound of his own, from the start. That he has in fact established it and remains on a path of constant perfection of it, is indicative of his personality and talent. 
His commitment to the deeper, hypnotic side of techno is further proved by his own label, Informa Records.
What stands out from his production and performances is that Deepbass creates something identifiably his, but refuses to ever be limited by it or to get comfortable repeating just one thing. Instead, he takes what ́s already his own and streamlines it, sharpens it and nuances it. The origin and destination might be constant, but the path it takes and how the journey feels is ever-changing.
