@biocym is an artistic project from Italy that seeks to awaken emotions by expressing it's feelings towards reality and the use of atmospheres and scenarios reflected in its sound. The main nucleus of his work reflects the attitude that man must embody in order to move in a dark and inscrutable reality that he must face when he inevitably explores it.
Biocym represents the way in which the artist approaches the way of awakening in himself by contemplating the infinite variety of landscapes of reality and proposes his progressive deepening. His music is the meeting point of his two influences: natural sounds and those other sounds generated by his creativity.

Italian-born producer Dino Sabatini is an artist whose strong body of work has helped to develop his local scene, and redefine what it means to work with electronic music in the 21st century: though his sounds are completely modern, synthesized and rendered with crystal clear production, he continues to tend the deep roots of lost wisdom and mythology that have sustained human creativity for millenia.

The Alchemical Theory project was born in 2018 from the creative union of three italian producers. The identity of the project has been very influenced by the favorite sounds of the three artists, ranging from modular electronic sounds to much more atmospheric elements. This project also comes from the love of mysticism, alchemy and nature. In each release they want to represent something that affects the listener's mind, reproducing a real mental journey.

For DSS060, their approach is exactly the same.

DSS063 comes from the skilled hands and mind of Svarog. The Ukrainian artist hypnotizes and enchants us with this silky mix filled with textures, grooves and a lot of flow. This mythical encounter is one to remember.

DSS064 is brought to you by @yuka. The mix she delivers was recorded during her gig at the Otsukimi Festival in Hakuba, Japan. Expect a club-oriented, hypnotic set.

Installment number 65 of our series comes from the city of Leipzig.
Here, Jonas started his Kontinum project in 2016. Focussing on atmospheric and dissociative techno. Over the years, his sound evolved and ranges from ambient, deep techno to contemporary club-oriented sets. Over the years, Jonas has continued to develop and perfect his own sound and has had the chance to release on labels such as The Gods Planet, Lowless and Oslated.

Last month he founded is own label, Mnestic Records. The goal is to release club-orientated but deep music. Perfectly in line with our series.

Davide and Gabriele, aka Primal Code are no newbies in deep techno. With several succesful releases on Hypnus Records and a recent release on Kalahari Oyster Cult, it's a no-brainer for us to invite them and their distinctive sounds on the series.

DSS070 is brought by Amsterdam-based Jephta. His vision on electronic music is often inspired by the Scandinavian scene. Dark, hypnotic and immersive.
As resident of the Rotterdam collective and organization Embodiment, he aims to spread this vision and sculpt the perfect club experience, brought by established names and rising talent.

As a native of the southern Belgian city of Charleroi, OWL started off in its drum & bass scene. If you listen closely, it isn’t hard to hear the influence of these roots in his sound signature to this day. From the ambient landscapes to the high-tempo tracks, Owl has put together beautiful releases on standout labels like Silent Season, Lowless Records, Huinali Recordings, re:st and DNO.

His sound is characterized by minimalist percussions, continuous atmospheres and
breakbeat rhythms. Releasing on labels such as KVLTÖ Records, Annulled Music, Fur:ther Sessions, Postdynamic and NFEREE, he surely has some nice releases to his name.

DSS 077 is crafted carefully by Fernie.

2023 has been a positive year for Glasgow based Fernie delivering EP’s for respected outlets Informa, KVLTÖ and BAHN with more on the way before year end.  His mix sessions focus on deep and lush atmospheres with a path to deliver a journey for the listener.

In parallel to his own works his Space Textures imprint continues to push deep techno to great effect working with artists from across the globe and he curates the acclaimed Monument Podcast for the Norway based collective.

For our 78th installment we invited Sofus Forsberg, a veteran producer who lives for the atmospheric industrial sound in deep hypnotic techno. The Danish producer played legendary sessions at Freqs of Nature in Germany, MoDem in Croatia and Boom festival in Portugal. This DJ set was recorded at FEUM in Denmark.

Our last DSS of 2023 comes from the Belgian city of Antwerp. Yogg is known for his unique sound design, impact cuts of body-slamming techno with deep synths and sleek rhythms. He released on various labels such as Non Series, Illegal Alien Records, 30D Records, Counterchange, and others.

For DSS 079, he took a different approach, taking down the tempo and starting with some dub related tracks, building towards UK influenced sound to conclude the mix with trippy and breaky techno.

We start 2024 with another Ukrainian masterclass. As founding member of Rythm Büro, Alexander, aka Na Nich is no stranger to many of us. Having released on labels such as Delsin, Semantica, Oblique Music and his own imprint, his signature techno and breakbeat sounds will surely ring a bell.

Regardless of the genre, Alexander's music is characterized by his signature groove and engineering perfection, as he remains forward-thinking in his approach.

DSS081 features Martyn Päsch, owner of KVLTÖ Records, who embodies an active sonic experience based on elements that guide us through harmonious and profound paths, exploring the connection between body, mind, and spirit across different times and locations in the musical landscape.
His performances have successfully cultivated a unique auditory and mental sensitivity, sharing his journey through musical expression on record labels and in recording environments strategically positioned around the world. His ability to capture this sonic journey across various platforms demonstrates an exceptional skill for weaving experiences that transcend geographical barriers, transporting those who listen to a sonorous universe in constant evolution.

RON L is part of Embodiment, an organization that focusses on different spectrums of electronic music and is originally based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. For the past few get-togethers they set foot in Amsterdam to further explore the Dutch scene and to inspire the participants with a challenging sound.

With this recording RON L wanted to translate the past and the present into a set. DJ-ing for over 5 years he came in contact with several styles within electronic music and RON L thought this was a great moment to dig deeper into his music collection to create a trip down memory lane to build an emotional bond with the audience while also remaining in the present using some recent releases.

DSS 082 is carefully assembled by Brussels based Onohno, resident at Kiosk Radio.

Mental and hypnotic. This is what best defines Onohno's music, who always tries to build bridges between different genres of electronic music. For some years now, he has been developing an interest in hybrid styles and techno, oscillating between erratic rhythms and organic sounds to achieve the most total musical immersion possible.

DSS 084 comes straight out of the concrete jungle.
Hailing from Brooklyn's vibrant electronic music scene, Moon Patrol stands out as a compelling collaboration between Irina Kotik and Gilles Wasserman. As the visionary co-founders of the Brooklyn-based webzine Delayed, the duo brings a wealth of influences to their joint venture, Moon Patrol.
Their musical narrative unfolds through a delicate interplay of soft melodies and evolving ambiances, crafting a distinctive sonic identity that guides listeners through evocative journeys within their DJ sets and original productions.

Having released on labels such as Oslated, Huinali Records, On Board Music, Lost In Translation, and Accents Records, there is no doubt about their notable impact.

DSS 084 | Moon Patrol

In this first episode of the Deep Space Series we present to you, the Italian based Ness!

His pure, mind shifting sound is exactly the direction we want to go in on this new podcast platform. 

Ness has worked with labels like Phorma (Sweden), Synewave (USA), Dynamic Reflection (The Netherlands), M_Rec Ltd. (Italy), Informa (UK), Prologue (Germany), etc. and collaborated with artists like Claudio PRC half member of The Gods Planet, Deepbass, Attemporal, Rasmus Hedlund, etc. 

Currently he is running TGP - an independent platform established since 2010 with Claudio PRC.

Ness his sound can be defined as an exploration of wide range of deep and hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes.

Extremely rare and exclusive ambient recording by the illustrious Luigi Tozzi from Italy. This artist is without any doubt one of the pioneers of the deeper and more emotional electronic music.

This set is recorded at the magnificent Modem festival(momento demento)in Croatia. We had the privilege to experience this performance live at the festival this summer. A moment we will cherish forever ...

It’s time for the 33rd upload already. This podcast is recorded by another DJ/producer from Sweden, but that should be no surprise. Efraim Kent is not a producer that releases many records. We got introduced to his music through a couple of tracks he released with Dorisburg on Tikita. The Moroccan label might be one of the most refreshing upcoming labels if you ask us. In our humble opinion Voltage Festival could be considered as one of Belgium’s best festivals… 
We visit this festival every year, but this edition was really at another level!

As a visitor you can feel this project has a bright future…
The people behind this energising project should be respected as they bring pure quality back to our festival landscape.

It has been a while since we uploaded a liveset. @milenaglowacka is not a DJ. For our 47th upload she used nothing but own creations and composed it into an hour of deep bliss.

Milena Glowacka is a Polish techno producer currently living in Reykjavík, Iceland. Labels she released on are @semantica-records, @deliriorecordings and @vanity-pill. Earlier this week @monument-podcast premiered her latest original track, Illusion, on @accentsrecords.

Almost a year has passed since the first lockdown. Even after a gigless year and without a clear outlook, we can only look at the bright side of things. Covid-19 made room for the studio. Milena is premiering her latest productions in this liveset.
