Dystopia is one of the most outstanding tunes we have had recently. It combines a breakbeat base with contemporary mental, liquid sound. The cherry on top is the vocal from Lily Und Wolf… „life is not tomorrow” – probably we can all relate to that at some level.

As far as the remix is concerned, when it comes to quality we do not compromise, so we asked the underground icon, Martin Roth to rethink this tune, who accepted the challenge. We are delighted to have him on our label, and grateful for the support.
The Martin Roth remix definitely has the potential to become a club anthem in the autumn season. It is a banger peak time tune, no doubt about that. It takes you on a psy journey with a multitude of melodies and a groove that will make you dance till the very end.

Secrets is a bit different compared to the other two tracks, it is an uplifting peak time melodic house piece, full of joy and happiness. It stands out from the typical heavy sound that is so popular these days. The male vocal by Dcoverz perfectly fits the track. This tune reminds us to Ibiza, if you have ever been to the White Isle, you will know what we mean.

We also included an instrumental track in this release. Ypsilon is a high tech, top quality production. True underground sound (that’s what Truesounds is all about) – we wouldn’t be surprised if many AAA artists would include it in their playlist.

The talended Greek duo Voices OF Valley is back to Us & Them records with their strong melodic EP named 'Away' featuring Russian singer Eleonora. Smashing beats around the dark synths and all underlined with hypotonic vocals - it does bring you away to another space. The space of melodic techno.

The original track 'Away' sets the mood of the whole EP - characterized by its deepness, profond sound, truly dark atmosphere as well as catchy synth patterns. A strong combination of industrial sounds, cinematic synth and groovy drums which brings melodic techno to an another level. Upon all the magic the dreamy voice of Eleonora inviting you to join the endless melodic trip.

On the remix side of the EP we have a team of powerful artists with their truly emotional interpretations of the track. The Iberian Muse joins forces with Wurtz and brings up a truly crushing version of the track combining energetic synth melodies, pumping beats and groovy bass lines in an ambient environment. The Brazilian duo Binaryh add an industrial vibe to the track, which smoothly transforms into an epic underground dance floor hit. The duo Sences of Mind goes even heavier adding melancholic melodies upon heavy synths which turns the track into a explosive bomb for any techno lover. Anis Hachemi & Alex Kaspersky link up for the epic new album Baths Of Antoninus on Dear Deer. Anis is a label regular, and Alex is the label head honcho, and they both come together here with a big techno sound that comes laced with melody.

Future Retro opens up with gritty bass and widescreen synths that wash over the groove and then Africa brings more afro tinged drums, Better Life is dark and edgy with a spraying synth line and Dogon Tribe then gets you in a trance with the lush chords. Rave in Sahara is hard-hitting and moody, with grainy chords and gritty textures, then tracks like African Rage and Future Acid show the range of this pair as they serve up more peak-time cuts with searing acid lines and bouncing drums. After the tense and adventurous Carthage with its gauzy chords, Decadence closes out with hands in the air.

This is a coherent and complete album that really takes you on a deep and cosmic techno voyage.

The legendary Köpi, located at 137 Köpenicker Straße in Mitte, is a building complex that has become a symbol for the city's leftwing community since it was first squatted in 1990. Over the years it was legalised and has become a safespace for alternative lifestyles and autonomous viewpoints, welcoming socialists, anarchists, queers and musicians alike. Controversial to some, essential to others: Köpi symbolises the tensions inherently at play in the city since the fall of the Berlin Wall and rise of squatting. 

As always, music is the common denominator here and Oliver Koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while Chrisse Kunst renders the visuals.
