Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. The result is our first joint EP, of which I am very proud. (Thomas Schumacher, November 2015)

doing a release from him on my labels.
The time has come with this incredible “Vertigo” release.
Needless to say that I’ve been a fan of Kevin’s sound for years and supporting almost
every single release he’s had.
So I am obviously super happy to finally land his excellent music on NM2.
I feel we’ve put together a release so strong that it sets the bar extremely high for what’s
to come on NM2 in the future.
Kevin’s flair for making amazing melodies and soundscapes mixed with spot on
arrangements and in depth productions is a true pleasure for your ears.
Even when writing these words I slowly drift away and dive into the music with a smile on
my face.
To top it all we also got a superb remix from Marco Faraone who has been among my
favorite techno producers for years as well and one I have been wanting to release music
by for some time. His remix makes “vertigo” a more hard hitting and techno driven
banger.
Cleverly keeping all the melodies intact and wrapped up in heavy beats.
I feel blessed to have both these artists deliver such high quality music for NM2.

“After more than a year of repeatedly teasing an ID that was later called Dark Knight, VNTM is
now set to release an EP to complete his outstanding 2019 including the track that made so
many heads turn.

After the track first made its appearance more than a year ago in almost every set of the young
Dutchman, it later became a steady anthem in the sets of many renowned artists.
Especially the Italian duo Tale Of Us were taking the record to a next level during performances
on Afterlife, Tomorrowland, Awakenings and many more arenas around the world.

“Dark Knight” incorporates a combination of musical elements that are key to VNTM’s signature
sound; dark techno kicks and atmospheric elements which form the perfect foundation for the
chords and harmonies added. The repeating melody is what strikes most in this record, evolving
into a melancholic and dramatic silence, followed by a heavy impact snare roll to get the energy
going on peak level. A true anthem and a perfect closing track for his sets and cherished by
many others.

To complete the EP, VNTM picked another track that has been high on demand, premiered by
Tale Of Us at Printworks in 2018: “Demons”. Demons is based upon a dark rolling bass line that makes big rooms move, the later introduced brass sounds feel like they belong to the soundtrack of an ‘apocalypse. This is the perfect B-side that shows a darker side of VNTM’s work yet remaining the melodic touch you would expect.

After gigs like Awakenings, Straf_werk, Afterlife Tomorrowland and Printworks to name a few,
VNTM felt it was time to unleash the record that he used as a closing track to lift crowds to an
ultimate feeling of arousal and ecstasy and to thank every single listener who took part of his
journey that is set out to become even stronger in 2020.”
