Q.U.A.K.E., Asher Swissa - Unity (Extended Mix) [Siona Records]

Argentinean Dynacom returns to ICONYC 3 years to the day for his 2nd release. His last outing back of October 2018 was received to high acclaim - with huge support from the big boy brigade at the time. With his long-awaited return to ICONYC, Dynacom delivers a slice of late summer vibes titled 'Lost Boy'. The original mix kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through melodic inspired deep beats and harmonies are in full swing. The track twists effortlessly throughout. It's all about the groove, cool vibes that are working their magic around the wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible vibe.

On remix duty we welcome the mighty Renato Cohen. The Brazilian producer, who has seen his work released on some of the world's finest labels certainly needs no introduction. Renato created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the indie stimulated vibe keeps you moving with warm pinging sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication while the groove keeps you moving. "Essential stuff!"

To close out the release we welcome Russian duo HIGHLITE, who are known for their polished, indie influenced sound. They keep the theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove. Outstanding remix from HIGHLITE.

Dynacom's second coming on ICONYC really shows that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful inspired gem guides you to a full-on melodic hug of a release that will cause many smiles induced moments! For the first release of 2022, we are pleased to welcome Amsterdam- based Romanian Alex Preda, who already participated in Odd Echoes Vol. 3, and this time, he presents his debut EP  ̈Moons & Stars ̈ on the label with a fabulous remix by Lexer.

The Preda sound has developed over the years, with his taste developing into the electronic sounds of the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis in his teens, into his signature driving techno. 

Always with an element of warmth and melody underneath and has evolved into integrating live elements into his performances, something Alex has been perfecting over the years.

The lead track Might Be Love ft. Katty Heath, is the perfect opener, full of groove and catchy melodies, that play along with the fx lead vocal, creating a super club piece.

Lexer approaches the reinterpretation of the lead track, adding new and catchy melodies, synthesizers and textures, giving his well-known stamp and taking the version to his own terrain.

Delving deeper into the EP, we find more of Alex's signature sound, but with a deeper and more emotional touch as shown in  ̈Don't Move" where the focus is on the beautiful chords that make the perfect match with the celestial synth melodies.

To close the EP we have “Searching” which is also another dance floor oriented track, fitted especially to turn the heat on the on any set. And last but not least, “Away from IT” is the perfect electronica/breaks closing track to round up this special EP.

To celebrate three years of [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], we unveil a grand sonic chronicle — a 12-volume anthology dedicated to the Mountain Altai. 108 tracks, 108 stories woven by artists from different countries and cities, united into a single sonic map that reveals the beauty and greatness of this sacred region through sound. The first chapter is devoted to the Chuysky Trakt — the road leading straight into the heart of the myth. The Chuysky Trakt connects Siberia and Mongolia, the realms of humans and spirits, time and dimensions. It is a path laid through ridges, rivers, and steppes — following the Katun and the Chuya rivers — and leading to the very heart of the Altai Mountains.
