A late night in September 2024, deep in Koenji, Tokyo—hopping between listening bars, cold craft beers in hand, surrounded by solid company. Takashi Mori showed us around, navigating the city’s underground pulse with ease. Big thanks for that, mate—what a night.

Off the back of that, we knew we had to get him in for a mix. Takashi delivers a deep, finely tuned session that locks you into his world of Ambient and Dub Techno. Precision-crafted, immersive, and straight-up essential listening.

Takashi first caught our attention with his release on Slope Point, but he's been a fixture in Tokyo’s scene long before that—a staple DJ spinning dub techno and other deep, hypnotic cuts across the city. By day, he works as a mixing engineer, fine-tuning sonics, and when he’s not behind the decks, he’s behind the lens—documenting Tokyo’s streets in stark black and white. A creative soul through and through.

Some personal words:
My music taste was shaped by living in many countries. Growing up in Moscow, Russia, my journey began as a child with a rare vinyl collection inherited from my dad. Later, after spending a third of my life in Dubai and a few years in the Cayman Islands, I embraced different cultural traditions of local sound. 
My obsession with dub techno began in my teenage years when I accidentally got a vinyl of Maurizio M7. Heavily influenced by labels like Chain Reaction, M_nus, Staalplaat, and others, I have been exploring the depths of dub techno, deep, and minimal ever since.

Happy 13th anniversary Feed The Raver! 🥳 Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I was going to be DJing and producing music for 13 years and also curating a podcast for this long that was born and created with the purest intentions of helping, sharing and feature some of my favorite artists and their music. Connecting with so many people around the world has been extremely rewarding and magical. I’ve been always a music nerd, I started raving also when I was 13 even 🤣 so this celebration feels extra special. I have survived everything so far, so many podcast have come and gone and I’m still here dancing, discovering new artists and using music as my main connection to the universe and the divine ✨😌✨. I think I’ve decided I’m going to continue this journey until my last day in this world so hopefully one day I’ll be a grandma announcing  a 100th anniversary badass Feed The Raver episode and funny enough I’m sure this music will still be as relevant as it can be because sounds like these will remain true gems forever ✨🙌✨

The Finnish producer, DJ, and head of VUO Records has a rare talent for distilling the essence of depth, space, and rhythm into his productions. His music is infused with a hypnotic pulse that doesn’t shout loudly but tells stories subtly – of snow-covered landscapes, quiet nights, and an unwavering love for electronic music. What sets TM Shuffle apart is his uncompromising dedication to reduction. His musical philosophy is not about quantity but quality: less is more. In a personal conversation with Andre Kronert, TM Shuffle offers insight into his creative workflow and studio philosophy. fl_000 has been shaping dancefloors for over a decade, but his story begins on the other side—as a raver immersed in Berlin’s legendary club scene. Drawn in by the pulse of the music, the architecture, and the community, he found a new rhythm that reshaped his life. His sets reflect that origin: raw yet refined, rooted in vinyl and built on a deep understanding of groove. With releases on rauh, Turnland, and his own label just stretchin’, as well as a steady hand in organizing events in Hanover, fl_000 keeps the spirit of his early days alive while carving out new sonic paths.

For his "Delayed with…" contribution, fl_000 delivers a mix that drifts effortlessly through the deeper, warmer edges of electronic music. It opens in a haze of dubby echoes and jazz-tinged vocals before shifting into a rich blend of character-heavy tracks. The pace is patient. There are no sharp turns, just a sense of movement, steady and fluid, like a thought you can’t quite pin down. It’s the kind of mix that mirrors spring’s unpredictable moods, fluid, textured, and full of subtle surprises.

Amsterdam’s Ratherlost crew has spent the past few years perfecting the art of the marathon rave. Their home base is Lofi, a cavernous warehouse where sound, light, and visuals fuse into long-haul journeys that stretch well past the 18-hour mark. But epic runtimes mean nothing without the right hands at the controls, and Ratherlost has proven it knows how to curate, pace, and execute like pros.

Lofi’s two-floor setup allows for shifting moods: daylight hours wander through deep, dubby techno, slowly morphing into faster, syncopated rhythms as night tightens its grip. Pacing is everything in a space like this. And when it comes to the craft of pacing, few do it better than Bas Dobbelaer.

Bas is one of our favorite DJs for a reason. He understands that a warm-up set is an architecture rather than just background noise. It shapes the room, sets the tone, and welcomes dancers into the story. The mix we’re thrilled to share today was recorded live at Ratherlost’s Easter Sunday session at Lofi, where Bas shared the bill with artists like Aaron J, Na Nich & Vera Logdanidi, Aurora Halal, DVS1, upsammy, Occa, Agonis, Dasha Rush, Seb H, and Oscar Mulero. Quite the roster.

In the face of that stacked lineup, Bas delivered a masterclass in restraint and elegance. His three-hour set unfolds like a novel, tracing dub techno’s DNA across the past two decades. The vibe is timeless, spacious, and beautifully measured, a perfect example of how to warm up a warehouse without blowing the doors off too soon.

We give a warm welcome to Sydney-based artist Trinity, taking center stage in our 323rd episode.

Trinity is a Sydney-based DJ, producer, and performer with over 20 years of experience in the music industry. Trinity has earned the respect and love of fans, dancers and peers from Sydney to Berlin — and many destinations in between. Her abundant and diverse talents, her famous work ethic, and her uncompromising musical vision have made her a force to be reckoned with in the world of techno.
Trinity was billed alongside Richie Hawtin at the Vivid Sydney festival at Sydney Opera House; headlined Sydney’s world-famous Mardi Gras celebration; and has played at Tresor, Tomorrowland and many other clubs and festivals across Europe. Other stops on her musical travels have included New Zealand, India and Amsterdam’s famed Red Light Radio.
Each of Trinity’s live shows is marked by her unique versatility: from deep dub-techno, acid and electro to peaktime techno — all combining for a distinct and moving soundscape. Trinity is also one-half of boundary-breaking live act Phax Machine (along with partner Analogue Resistance), with the duo focusing especially on tougher breakbeat and classic rave sounds. 
Trinity’s recorded output includes collaborations with Luke Hess, Eric Cloutier, Headless Horseman and XDB, with her releases making their way into some of the best record shops in the world including Berlin’s Hard Wax. Trinity also runs A&R for Australian techno label Nightime Drama.
