The second installment in our mix series comes from Bjarnar Jónsson who runs the outstanding Ohm Series label. With a back catalogue spanning over twenty years, Ohm is a mainstay of the deep techno scene. He appeared on Lempuyang in June this year with Octal Industries, and also features on the label's one year anniversary compilation. He's also a thoroughly nice bloke and a fucking good DJ.

Avenue Red is proud to present a sublime hour-long mix of deep, dubby house & techno from DJ Joshua, who hails from Setúbal, a coastal town that is part of the metropolitan area of Lisbon, capital city of Portugal.

"This mix was recorded especially for Avenue Red and covers sounds from more expressive and ambient tracks, evolving to something more mental and strong techno. Then going through the middle for some things a little softer and more delicate. It's like a reflection or a mirror of what I've always absorbed from electronic music and the way I feel and express it in my works as a DJ. An example of this is my two weekly radio shows with two different aspects but that at a certain point can cross and also the other participations and collaborations that I do whenever possible.

ANGEL ☆:
French producer and multi-disciplinary artist ANGEL provides a new subtle, elegant dub techno mix featuring an eclectic selection of dub and ambient techno artists. A former music promoter who resided at different corners of the planet (Bali, Tokyo, London where she lived 7 years, Paris, and now Berlin), ANGEL began producing music in 2016. Having shifted her focus on fine tuning her productions recently, ANGEL released a well-received ambient single (Coincidence/ Ambivalence) in 2021 and over the summer 2022 a new dub techno EP on Stuttgart label and art collective AMAS. The French artist also produced a few radio shows on Dublab and is a regular contributor to MAGNETIC magazine and paints when she has some time left. Enjoy the mix!
