I love this set probably as much as ANY I have ever heard. I've heard a LOT. I have been an avid and vociferous advocator, and true Fanatic of Electronic music almost as long as it has been in existence. I'll tell you that I will not see my 57th birthday come around again. When I turned 12 in 1976 I already had about as many electronic artists as existed at the time in my album collection. These included the works of wired weirdos and freaks such as Walter/Wendy Carlos, Tomita, Kraftwerk, Synergy (Larry Fast) and a few others. You had to have Money to have cutting edge gear back in the early 70's artists like Carlos & Tomita Were True Techno pioneer artists, who like those who could, built their own modular analogue synths from scratch, these could end up costing 100s of thousands of dollars over time constantly being modified and specialised.

Campfire Stories 32 (Solstitium) by Winter In June

It is undeniable that we are living in uncertain times. For those of us failing to fit the patriarchal neoliberalist mould we have lost hope in the future. We can see capitalism is not working but we cannot yet envisage an alternative. We discover that the stability we were instructed to obtain whether it be financial, political or ecological, is fleeting, if at all. The resulting anxiety is an instrument of neoliberalism that prevents many of us from being able to raise consciousness of the structural injustices that alienate us. 

In a world where security is no longer feasible, the only constant we can rely on is change. Barad teaches us that the world is a dynamic process of intra-activity and materialisation, an ongoing ebb and flow of agency. The Buddhist Law of Impermanence proves that nothing in this world is eternal. 
Regardless of ones point of reference we can understand that every aspect of life, physical and mental is in flux and perhaps this transience is the only thing we can depend on. 

Each month we invite an artist to ruminate on these ideas and create an hour of relief from these anxieties. A temporary suspension of reality, where the listener can speculate on alternate modes of existence that reject hetero- patriarchal systems of oppression. 

This month we have invited SVLBRD @w_a_r_m_t_h to reflect on this.

Scannt, hailing from Prague, is a day-dreamer captivated by the realm of sound. Marek has been active in the scene since 2009 and went through a few different genres before finally settling down somewhere between dub techno and ambient - doing his best to find a new path here and there when composing, avoiding the standard structures. In 2019 he released his first vinyl titled “Planets” on Come In Records (@cir000), you can also find his previous EPs and singles on labels such as @d-m-t-records, @harmony-rec or @xionlabel / @anskrmelec.

Ahead of his appearance on our "Meanders" VA, we are welcoming Lyon-based https://soundcloud.com/sanjib-4 on our Textures Podcast for one of his trademark contemplative sets, exploring deeper atmospheres, ambient dub and gentle techno grooves. We hope you will enjoy the journey as much as we did 🌱 Tracklist below.
  
Since 2015, Sanjib takes us into an authentic and richly textured world between ambient and dub-techno. Behind this name is hidding a Lyon based artist, eager to share an electronic music especially focused on emotions, a universe dedicated to travel and introspection. After many EP’s released on the label of his early beginnings, Lett Records, it’s in 2018 that he produced his first album, «From Earth to Heaven», a smooth and poetic techno opus which will receive great feedbacks. Particularly prolific on the production side, his works can also be found on Warok Music, Precept, One Instruments, and more recently, the brilliant south korean label Oslated.
Constantly adapting and mixing his tracks with new creations, his live performances are always a unique experience. Surrounded by a few machines and also one deck that he uses as a sampler, Sanjib takes us into a mysterious and immersive travel in which are melting dub-techno infused rhythms and floating soundscapes.
