Real name Kerstin Saidykhan.
Grown up in a small town in Western Germany, I was a music nerd from my teenage times. I experienced a lot of different electronic types and styles, what shaped my personallity my whole life, beginning from the 8oies with Postpunk, Dark Wave, EBM and then develloped further with Ska, Reggae, Jungle, Drum 'n Bass and Techno. Dancehall and the Jamaician Soundsystem Culture had also a big influence to me, after visiting Jamaica for two times at the end oft he 90ies. Especially the ruff and heavy basslines of Dub and Raggamuffin had a big imprint on me. I stayed close to the German Reggea scene from the middle of the nineties for many years.And then finally moved to Berlin 2001. It was still the time of small and illegal clubs and improvised venues. In that scene, I had the opportunitiy to try myself as a DJ for a certain time. After many years, I started mixing music again.

Klordop(TIS) is rooted in hypnotic minimal techno. His personal style is characterised by the rich atmospheric spectrum of electroacoustic sounds – unusual in electronic dance music – driven by irresistible grooves. Expect wondrous journeys for the mind and the body, riding on infectious beats through intense psychedelic soundscapes. Meeting up on the Interwebz somewhere in '98, a mutual love for drum 'n' bass was the foundation for a great friendship and a musical alliance in multiple genres. Southern Depot has never lost and will never lose his love for drums, but a new passion for quite the opposite in the musical spectrum surfaced some years back for the both of them: ambient music from light to dark. Darren Harper (b.1970) is an experimental/ambient sound artist residing high within the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Drawing from both electronic and acoustic sources, his compositional output is based entirely on experimentation and improvisation, with a strong emphasis on minimalism, and often reflects a desire for a greater understanding of nature and self, and the relationship therein…

Ambient Sessions # 04 - Darren Harper

Welcome to the 7th chapter of the Ambient sessions presented by Deep Electronics. This time a set by Spilt Silo from Melbourne, Australia. Bringing us a variaty of his own tracks and samples. He also mixed some of his dubtechno tracks at the end of this mix. But with a lot of ambient sounds in between. 

Bio: 
After merely one year of practice in electronic production, Spilt Silo creates ambient and techno music of an immense soundscape, combining a sensually elevating and frequently hypnotic atmosphere with ominous and rolling lows. Such sounds are held seamlessly together by both the broken and polyrhythmic pattern of Silo’s percussions. His rarely matched enthusiasm and avid listening of techno music, in its broadest definition, has led the aesthetic of Silo’s sound to the influence of various Silent Season artists as well as Canadian ambient producer Tim Hecker, whom Silo supported in Melbourne earlier this year. In the coming month, his debut EP ‘Polly EP,’ featuring a remix by Roberto Facchini will be released through Melbourne/ Glasgow techno label One4SevenOne Records as their ninth release due out 16/04/15.

Multidisciplinary artist and musician born in Madrid (Spain-1979) Lover design, architecture and art in all its expansion, During his youth it is influenced by different music styles as the SintPop, punk rock, metal etc … but it is probably the “Ambient” a deep interest woke it up in his life as artist.

In the late ’90s began his interest in electronic music composition where the influence of ambient, techno and underground deep sounds are shaping their own sound.
In 2011 after a long creative period , decide to shape his new project.

2014 is the year, 3 albums released (SUB.SPIELE , BETYAR RECORDS AND ETOKA RECORDS) and incorporating the exclusive MIXCULT TEAM (Saint Petersburg RUSSIA) ,  are a small introduction of what this artist can say .
Currently immersed in the production of music and exclusive mixes for labels around the world, which will lead your vision of ambient sounds / techno and deep to unknown landscapes.

Substak: For those that have heard me or not, my mix is like the others. Nothing different, focus on music, track selection featuring works I want others to hear and feel also. I prefer to push music from the not so well known DJ's & producers, it's never about the new tracks or "top charted" or any other nonsense fad metric with me.

The mix starts with more calm, ambient sounds that passes you to dub techno sounds, then to close with more dark and techno sounds. As I say, no more words... just let the music speak ;)

Substak: Future releases have been scheduled, I am always open to new things & collaborations.

Hope a 12" release to come soon, it's the one thing that I haven't made so far. And of course I will not stop with Avenue Red, this was just a beginning. I'm happy to work with this podcast, which is one that I notice will continue to push out episodes from the same DJ's rather than just being a 1-stop shop.
