Ich atme schwer und muss meine Gedanken sammeln. Was war das für ein fürchterlicher Traum gewesen. Warum hatten die Menschen keine Gesichter und warum kam das DJ-Pult aus dem Riss in der Erde. Es wirkte so als würde es aus der Hölle emporsteigen. Ein kalter Schauer fährt mir über den Rücken. Was hatte das alles zu bedeuten?
Ich versuche die Gedanken abzuschütteln und wieder Klarheit zu erlangen. Es gab immer noch eine ungelesene Nachricht auf meinem Handy. Wie versprochen sendet mir ComRA weitere Informationen zum nächsten großen Rave und meiner Rolle in ihm. Bei dem Rave in der alten Kathedrale wird der Raverend wieder in Erscheinung treten. Ich soll bei der Einlasskontrolle helfen und mich später als Botschafter der Musik unter das tanzende Volk mischen, um die frohe Kunde verbreiten. 
Mein Herz pocht und ich spüre wie pure Erregung durch meine Adern schießt. Teil einer so prägenden Veranstaltungsreihe zu sein, bringt meinen Verstand zum rasen. Ich bekomme die Chance einen Blick hinter die Kulissen zu werfen. Vielleicht kann ich sogar den Raverend Backstage treffen. Das lebende Mysterium einmal hautnah zu sehen, wäre bestimmt überwältigend. Ich kenne niemanden, der ihn jemals von Nahen oder außerhalb der DJ-Kanzel gesehen hat. Bis auf den Ort seines nächsten Auftritts gibt es auch keine weiteren Informationen über ihm. Alle Interviews mit der Lichtgestalt der Szene sind immer höchst professionell und drehen sich um musikalische Themen. Selbst Bilder in einschlägigen Magazinen zeigen ihm immer hoch oben am DJ-Pult stehen. Es scheint fast so, als würde er nur durch seine Musik zu uns sprechen. Ich bin gespannt was an diesem magischen Abend passieren wird.

Ich öffne meine Augen und Sonnenstrahlen kitzeln mein Gesicht. Draußen scheint ein wundervoller Tag begonnen zu haben. Doch mir bereitet das helle Licht nur einen stechenden Schmerz in meinem Kopf. Genervt wende ich mich zur Seite und flüchte aus der Sonnenseite des Bettes. Eine unbekannte Schwere macht sich in mir breit und raubt mir jeden Antrieb. Die Ereignisse der letzten Tage fordern ihren Tribut. All das Erlebte habe ich bisher nicht ansatzweise reflektieren können. Mein Kopf hat bisher alles verdrängt und mir den Rücken frei gehgalten damit ich einfach funktionieren kann. Doch jetzt scheine ich mich dieser Aufgabe stellen zu müssen. Erinnerungen kommen unwillkürlich in mein Bewusstsein und wollen eingeordnet werden. Was war Fiktion und was Realität. Wo habe ich mich richtig verhalten und was hätte ich besser machen können. Doch ich schaffe es nicht in diesen Kategorien zu denken. Etwas in mir weigert sich die nahe Vergangenheit zu beurteilen. Statt Klarheit zu schaffen, verunsichert mich der ganze Denkprozess und verursacht nur noch heftigeren Kopfschmerz. Und so fliegen einfach Szenen der vergangenen Nacht unkommentiert durch mein Gedächtnis und verschwinden wieder in der großen Dunkelheit. Eine Dunkelheit die in mir existiert und etwas zu verbergen scheint. 
Ich sammle all meine Kraft und raffe mich auf. Schließlich ist draußen immer noch ein schöner Tag, der auf mich wartet. Also Sonnenbrille auf und raus vor die Tür. Hier nervt die Sonne auch weit weniger und gibt mir im Gegenteil sogar Kraft. Jetzt noch Musik auf die Ohren und eine Runde durch den Stadtwald, um die Akkus aufzuladen

Fortsetzung deep story nr. 177

Beschwingt durch die Renaissance der Musik in meinem Leben, kehrt auch die Unbeschwertheit zurück. Die nächsten Tage vergehen wie im Flug und sind geprägt von guter Laune. Ich verbringe viel Zeit mit alten Freunden, lache und genieße die Variationen der elektronischen Tanzmusik. Da das Wetter auch mitspielt, beschließen wir am Wochenende mal wieder ein Open Air zu besuchen. Schnell ist die passende Veranstaltung gefunden. Ein befreundetes Kollektiv will das Nötigste auf einen umgebauten Bollerwagen unterbringen und einen kleinen See außerhalb der Stadt beschallen. Eine Oase der Glückseligkeit von Freunde für Freunde ohne viel Schnickschnack und Brimborium. 
Als wir am See eintreffen, finden wir eine kleine Gemeinschaft zufriedener Menschen, welche mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht die Sonne genießen. Die eigene Stimmung ist nach dem ersten Kaltgetränk schnell Betriebstemperatur und das Tanzbein wippt schon mal. Lange hält es mich nicht auf der Picknickdecke. Die Musik hat einen magischen Einfluss auf mich, wie der Gesang der Sirenen. Unvermittelt zieht sie mich in ihren Bann und ich beginne zu tanzen. Noch gibt es keine definierte Tanzfläche, nur ein paar einzelne am Ufer verstreute Gestalten, die sich zaghaft rhythmisch bewegen. Für viele wäre dieser Anblick wohl unscheinbar und vielleicht sogar langweilig, doch für mich fühlt sich diese Szenerie einfach richtig an. 

Für alle Rave Romantiker unter euch hat Erdi Irmak eine deep story kreiert, die dieses Gefühl der Unbeschwertheit an einen lauen Sommertag perfekt transportiert.

Madman is the new musical travel by the young duo Depart, from Istanbul. This track has been made during a night walk along the beach of Izmir in Turkey, a walk toward balance and inner readjustment. At that time the singer of the duo had reached a point where he was feeling stuck in his life to the extent of madness: « scraping his scars just to feel alive ».

The best remedy to this situation was to put it into words. He, thus, decided to impersonate his own role in the song and call himself a Madman as a representation of all the frustration and weight he was carrying away on his shoulders.

This record is for everyone feeling stranded in their life, it’s about accepting vulnerability instead of stiffness, it’s about embracing your inner self, in the ups as in the lows, instead of fighting it. This record means a lot to the duo as it helped them going through that rough time, they hope this will now help many more people who are facing the same obstacles in their reality.

The EP comes with a hypnotic and high percussive reinterpretation from dOP, a mesmerizing down tempo remix from Moon’s Voyager and a stellar deep house remix from the Birds of Mind.

Kolllektiv Turmstrasse steers into unexplored sonic territory and an introspective space with this new EP. Meticulous production skills combined with a soulful joy shine through with opening track, “YAP”. The track is a celebration of the pure and euphoric feelings human beings develop for one another (“You Are Perfect”), and demands the listener shimmies, shakes and forgets the outside world. I find myself dancing in a colorful room. I can't see any walls anywhere and yet it feels like I'm inside a building. It seems as if the room is so big that you simply can't see the walls. Lights in all the colors of the rainbow are raining down from the ceiling. Well, actually, I can't really see the ceiling either. I just assume that there is a ceiling behind all the lights. The bodies of dozens of figures are moving around me, but no one seems to be interacting with me. No matter which way I turn, everyone has their backs to me as they twitch ecstatically to the music.I shrug my shoulders and just keep dancing.

The exploration of the deeper side of techno by Dosem, since busting onto the scene almost 10 years ago, has seen him clock up countless air miles, release a string of hit club tracks and earn accolades from many of his peers, who deem him to be one of the most influential underground Spanish DJs in the scene today. The demand for Dosem's infusion of deep textured sounds, relentless precision drums and driving rhythms which make up his club cuts that are making dance floors shake the world over shows no sign of slowing. Nature pacifies my mind and my soul. I can breathe deeply and let go. The oppressive darkness slowly recedes and warmth rises within me. Inspired by this energy, I glide through the forest. Only slowly do the first thoughts come to me again. This time, however, they spread confidence and even joy. The driving force behind this burgeoning hope is the four-four beat drumming out of my headphones. It is the rhythms and melodies that drive me forward again. My old friend, music, is back in my thoughts and that feels damn good. Only now do I realize how much this elementary part of my life has faded into the background. All the events have so consumed me that I could no longer feel the music. But now it's fighting its way back beat by beat and exuding its original magic.

Bringing people closer to joy through music is also the aim of our guest today. Embark on a journey through the bright side of being with the resident of the Berlin collective “Dit Klingt Jut” Maltech and enjoy the first gentle rays of sunshine of the year with a few well-chosen gems of electronic music.

We got to know Siru and his music last year when he was preparing for a gig at Abstrakt. His mixture of melodic down tempo, dark disco & indie house immediately impressed us. Since then, he has not only played various venues in Berlin, but also celebrated his festival debut at the Mystic Creatures Festival. A set that completely took us away. All this makes us even more excited to present you a deep story from Siru today.

Actually, Kork always was a musician. At the age of about 8, he held the violin in his
hands for the first time. This instrument should be his constant companion for the next
ten years. His believe in quality playing tirelessly over and over till he succeeded formed
his entire personality, present till today.

He found his second passion at a young age – the electronic dance music. Two years
after starting with progressive house, he left and let himself be overwhelmed by deep
house music at concerts of Boss Axis, Jan Blomqvist, or Fritz and Paul Kalkbrenner. Kork
was founded, and real soon he got attention by the electronic music scene, correctly as
he was very successful in combining Deep House, Tech-House, and Techno music with
his very own melodic touch.

With his premiere at the Soundwave Radio FM station in London, he breached the record
by reaching 16k listeners. Broadcasting weekly, his live podcast was listened in over 80
countries simultaneously. He decided to leave the spot in 2016 to focus more on own
productions. Furthermore, he joined the collective “Deep Stories,” which got famous by
its exclusive podcasts with more than 50k followers – known all over the world.
As a DJ, he creates a musical sphere where everyone can express themselves freely. To
share this experience globally, he organizes shows around the world and connects with
his audience.
Today, he is one of the managers of Deep Stories, which comprises a record label, artist
management, podcast channel, and a monthly radio show.

LOCi lives in Munich and is the resident DJ of the Blütezeit Kollektiv. His sets are genre-fluid and move between Afrohouse, Indie Dance, Techhouse and Techno. His premise is: driving bass, lots of percussion or a dark surprise alongside the happy O-tone. In this way, he creates an atmosphere that shows the diversity of electronic music and allows the dancers to lose themselves in the moment.
We became aware of Loci through his wonderful set at last year's Wurzelfestival, which also made it into our “best of festival playlist”. Enjoy the deep story from LOCi!

At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals.In 2015, he founded the DJ collective “deep stories” together with Kork, which is very successful with its podcast series on Soundcloud thanks to its innovative concept. He is currently on tour in Hamburg and Berlin with the deep stories showcase.

We got to know Matiso a few years ago when we were planning an event together and have followed his progress with interest ever since. We were particularly impressed by his productions. When we met again last year at the ADE, we realized it was time for a deep story from Matiso. Look forward with us to a varied set with many of his own tracks and some unexpected surprises.


Matiso is a melodic house & techno producer & dj from Hamburg, Germany. Starting his professional music production career in 2017, he emerged into djing in 2019. Since then, Matiso is known for creating an outstanding experience with his dj sets. Überall haben wir all die Jahre hier und dort Stücke unseres Herzens gelassen. Dort wo Erinnerungen wach werden, wo wir mit einem Lächeln oder Tränen in den Augen stehen bleiben und für einen kurzen Augenblick in uns gehen, dort finden wir sie wieder. Sie können sich in so vielfältigen Dingen und Orten verstecken, dass wir eine Schatzkarte bräuchten, um sie alle wiederzufinden. 
Wenn wir zurückblicken, können wir ihre Spuren verfolgen und Teile der Schatzkarte frei rubbeln. Eine mühsame Suche die auch in Sackgassen enden kann und deren Wert wir oft erst spät erkennen. Doch es lohnt sich auf eine Reise in sein Gedächtnis zu gehen und die dunklen Ecken zu erhellen. Denn wenn wir nicht wissen wo sich unsere Teile des Herzens befinden, bleibt kaum genug davon übrig um weiterzuleben. Doch wer sich bewusst ist wo und bei wem er sein Herz gelassen hat, ist wohl reicher als Donald Duck. Sein größtes Glück angemessen zu verteilen anstatt es in einem Tresor wegzuschließen verschafft wahre Freude. So lasst uns dieses Fest nutzen, um eine weitere Erinnerung zu schaffen, die wir später mit Freude wiederfinden können!

Dabei können wir den besinnlichen klängen von CubaLou lauschen. Sie erzählt uns von ihrer Suche. Dabei wirft sie anhand von melodischen und träumerischen Klängen einen Blick zurück.
Vielleicht entdecken einige von euch dabei ja auch Musikstücke an die sie ein Teil ihres Herzens verschenken können.

Sie ist eine universelle Sprache die alle Grenzen überwindet und Lebewesen einander näher bringt. Unter all den wunderbaren Sachen, die sie hervorbringt, ist Freundschaft wohl das Wertvollste. Ob auf Festivals, im Club oder beim Studium, Musik bietet Gesprächsstoff und erzeugt eine gemeinsame Gefühlsebene auf der man sich verständigen kann. Wenn aus etwas Besonderem etwas Einzigartiges erwächst, wird es Zeit für eine deep story.

Frau Takt und Herr Los haben sich diesem Thema angenommen und ein gefühlvolles Set entwickelt, welches durch seine stilvolle Abwechslungen die Höhen und Tiefen einer Freundschaft wiederspiegelt. Letztendlich wird aber alles über Musik zusammengehalten.
Takt an und Los in ein neues Abenteuer an dessen Ende vielleicht auch auf euch eine neue Verbindung zu jemandem wartet.  
In diesem Sinne habt ein frohes Osterfest!

Fortsetzung der Geschichte von deep story 140

Wir erkunden weiter die Räumlichkeiten dieses sonderbar positiven Ortes. Wir durchqueren große Hallen die von Licht durchflutet werden und passieren Korridore dessen Wände, Decken und Böden komplett aus Glas bestehen. Überall sind Personen emsig wie kleine Ameisen und alles ist in einem stetigen Fluss. In den großen Hallen gibt es Konferenzräume in den Liveübertragungen von Konzerten und Festivals aus aller Welt laufen. Überall sind großflächige futuristische Bildschirme auf denen die Stars der Szene bei ihrer Arbeit zu sehen sind. Davor sitzen Gruppen von 10 bis 30 Personen an großen Konsolen mit vielen Reglern. Das erinnert mich ein wenig an die Kontrollzentren in den Raumfahrtbehörden.
Meine Begleiter führen mich in einen der kleineren Räume, wo ich herzlich empfangen werden. Ich setze mich an das Ende eines langen Tisches und mustere mein gegenüber. Ein stattlicher Mann mit freundlichen Gesichtszügen. Seine Kleidung gleicht nicht der der anderen Personen, die mir auf dem Weg begegnet sind. Das einheitliche weiß scheint diesem Herrn wohl nicht zu liegen. Er bevorzugt eher schlichtere Grautöne, die im Einklang zu seiner Haarfarbe stehen. „Ich begrüße sich herzlich in der Zentrale von ComRa. Es freut mich, dass sie den Weg zu uns gefunden haben und wir sie in unserer Gemeinde willkommen heißen können. Wie wir in Erfahrung bringen konnten sind sie ein großer Freund der elektronischen Tanzmusik und haben auch an unseren Veranstaltungen ihre Freude gehabt. Ich glaube wir sind daher in der Lage ihnen etwas anbieten zu können, was sie sicherlich begeistern wird.“

Auch wir möchten den Freunden elektronischer Tanzmusik heute etwas anbieten, was sie sicherlich in freudige Ektase versetzen wird. Lexer hat neben der Arbeit an seinem dritten Album die Zeit gefunden für uns einen Podcast aufzunehmen. Genießt eine Stunde Wohlfühlatmosphäre mit dem Meister der Melodien.

The team of Felix and Yannek Maunz give their debut on the infamous label Katermukke.  After a few collaborations of the two producers and live acts from Berlin, they gave rise to their track 'Choices'. A melancholic symphony which carries Felix voice and delivers a chiming groove of a deep and dancy dream. The warm and blistering „Synth Sequence“ on the drop definitely gives the track its characteristic sound and touch.

„Choices“ is Part of the EP „Shining One“ which also includes two tracks of Daniel Jaeger and Cook Strummer.

The latest addition is the new booking feature, by which the artists of the Deep Stories crew can be booked for deep house and techno parties. Thus, the Deep Stories project consists of three components: the podcast series, the music blog and the booking area. Over the years the team has also grown and many partnerships have been sealed. Among other things, there is a close collaboration with other podcast channels, travel blogs and even street artists, fueling yet even more creative minds…
