Copenhagen mainstay & Echocord label boss Kenneth Christiansen joins the lempuyang mix series by invitation. 

Kenneth started Echocord in 2001, which quickly became a label I kept a close eye on. Now approaching it's 25th anniversary & 100th release on its primary imprint; and with the likes of Mathimidori, Sven Weisemann, Babe Roots, and the superb latest release from Mike Schommer, Kenneth shows no signs of easing on the quality control.

These are some of the first records that pulled me out of French house and into the deeper side of electronic music: Shari Vari, Join in the Chant, What Time Is Love?, early I-F and Parallax Corporation, Alden Tyrell, Legowelt, Carretta, Agoria, and later the Gesloten Cirkel and Hacker cuts. Played in chronological order, they trace a clear line from early proto-techno and EBM into The Hague’s electro machinery and the darker European sound that came after it. I haven’t heard a lot of these in years, so the show is a way of going back to where it started, before jumping forward to the present with Blawan – WFT to close it out.

Kas:st is the French Parisian duo, owners of Flyance Records.

Their artistic universe fluctuates between hypnotic rhythms, dark and mind-blowing emotions, constantly looking to reach the “mental” aspect that they love in modern techno and in which they identify themselves with.
Following this vision, they have released in November on their own label, the first chapter of a substantial project entitled “Dysphoria I Euphoria”: 2 double EPs with 4 original tracks and 4 remixes on each one. Thus, they have surrounded themselves with artists closed to their musical style : Shlømo and AWB from Taapion Records, Anetha, Blocaus’parties resident, Detroit’s legend Luke Hess, English artists Setaoc Mass and Deepbass, Re:Axis - Monocline Records label owner, and HVL, the resident of BASSIANI’s parties in Georgia.
Following next : releases on Parisian’s label Blocaus Series and Taapion in early 2017.

He is endowed with an eclectic style dedicated to the creation of sound journeys with particular attention to live improvisation. He has released music on Hypnus Records, Annulled Music, Oslated and other underground label. Recently founded his own ELLE label, focused only on recorded live tracks.

After refining his sound year on year since his debut breakthrough album in 2011, the discography of the Berlin-based Brit continues to evolve; never staying the same and continuing to surprise. 2018 saw him release his first album in 7 years entitled Hypnagogia to critical acclaim.
