Minimal / Deep Tech Session #009

Recorded on a bright Saturday afternoon at Silence Please, the beautiful hi-fi speaker showroom and listening space in SoHo New York City. This set drifts through ambient dub techno and downtempo grooves. Icy textures, hazy tape hiss, and deep cuts from my own catalog blended with selections from labels MixCult and Spclnch (Space Lunch). As the room filled with people, foggy grooves and stillness in motion slowly gave way to more uptempo dub techno, carrying the energy of the afternoon forward.

Adopted by the city of Prague, Anastasia preaches about the humble analog format of vinyl records with her record selections rooted in dub techno as well as minimal house. One of the many reasons we invited Dona Volkova to take over our Strangers In The Night series with a vinyl only 60 minutes mix, recorded in the confort of her own place on a pair of turntables. With tracks from Steve O’Sullivan, Sirko Muller, Eric Louis, Andre Kronert, Tm Shuffle , Roger Gerressen, Simon Mann, Federsen and more.

Radio Show with Martin Jarl

Andrey Pushkarev continues to move floors with a combination of profound musical knowledge, unique professionalism and a meticulously gathered vinyl collection. Currently living in Moscow, where he has gained popularity as radio DJ, he found his way into the international electronic music scene releasing on respected labels such as Circus Company and Endless Records.

We discovered Andrey years ago through Deep Mix Radio and found out he has been playing Etui records in many of his sets. We took the chance to sit down with him and chat about his music while listening to his DJ mix contribution to our podcast series.

But there is someone behind Knowone.

Appearing as an unknown artist on his own Knowone label there is an illustrious, unknown figure of the current dub techno scene.
The Basic Channel influenced label focuses only on music without any hype and skin deep.
The series comes on 300 limited vinyl only, hand numbered, hand stamped, smoky marbled white vinyls without repress.
On the label there are two releases from the mighty grad_u as well who performed at Technodub Seance in October 2015 in Lärm.
